This is probably one of my favorite TGAH episodes. Part of the reason why I like it so much is because it has a different tone than most eps, IMO. Sure, it still contains lots of humor----mainly courtesy of Bill Maxwell-----but it has more serious undertones than usual, with Ralph and Pam's relationship on the rocks and Pam appearing sad and fed up for most of the episode. For once, the show isn't aiming for laughs as much----instead it is focusing on a real "human" story. And of course it has a nice happy ending, with Ralph asking Pam to marry him and she happily and enthusiastically accepting.

Not really. I think there are so many other good ones. This one easily pales in comparison.

Not really. I think there are so many other good ones. This one easily pales in comparison. I agree - there were a couple of things that could've been better and made a little more sense in the story. Still... it is a good story IMHO compared to a couple of season three stories. All that said, I'd kinda liked to have seen Pam actually slap or suckerpunch Ralph for supposedly seeing someone else. It'd been neat to see the two apart for an episode - show how the suit could affect a relationship - and then have a story where Pam was kidnapped/hurt and Ralph realize that he could say "no" to Bill and spend more time with Pam because she really was important to his life. Sometimes I feel that proposal was a little too forced too.

I actually really liked Pam's moment with Bill towards the end of the episode where she confesses to "choking in the line of duty." Throughout the series Pam's always treated Bill's "scenario" and "third string back up" stuff with sarcasm and disdain, but for this one brief moment it's like a daughter feeling bad she disappointed her father (similar to the relationship Ralph has with Bill I think).

As stated in my above-post (from July 2009), this one is among my favorite episodes. Some good acting on the part of Connie Sellecca as the "disgruntled, fed up" Pam. Who can blame her for starting to be tired of the whole "superhero" thing, eh? Especially since she's usually watching everything from the sidelines, and only rarely is in the middle of the action-----unlike Bill.
My only issue is that everything is resolved a bit unrealistically too quickly. This is due to the fact that everything has to be wrapped up by the 50 minute mark, of course.
