Hi! I am thinking about getting together a little suit for my son - if not for this year at Halloween, certainly for years to come!
I know people have made their kids suits before. Anyone know where I can start? There were some threads here, but my brain is not working enough for me to find them with the search engine.

Hi! I am thinking about getting together a little suit for my son - if not for this year at Halloween, certainly for years to come!
I know people have made their kids suits before. Anyone know where I can start? There were some threads here, but my brain is not working enough for me to find them with the search engine. I've seen completed ones, but not how-tos even here Jo. But, the ones I remember seeing for kids have been usually a onesie kinda like Holly's in the series. Since the suit is a zipper in the back and your son is a bit young to have it in that style, I'd say two options: 1. just get a red LS shirt, red pants (or make a pair with the spat tops sewn on, and then red shoes and a smaller version of the cape with red trim. You can also use paint and resize the emblem to fit his smaller body. The only thing on the emblem is - if you do an iron-on - is to use the Dark Shirt paper, not light shirt so you still get the white part to show. Or, 2. you could do a onesie and have it where the emblem is only sewn on one side (this one is a fabric emblem with the emblem either sewn together or ironed onto fabric, which is then cut and sewn). That case, it's sewn on one side securely and then Velcro'd on the other side so it's easy to take apart when your son needs a diaper change. Then you just have to add a belt (probably sewn to the material and a felt buckle), and cape.

I am not sure any thread has stated exact specifics.
Your best bet is probably to buy one of the iron-on patches. ;D
