Maybe the guy just doesn't like Stephen Cannell, since he also basically chortles at 21 Jump Street and says absolutely nothing about The Commish (so was it a good show? Bad? Hard to tell where he stands in that regard).
Although he does have a point about the "creative differences" between what Cannell intended with the show and what the network wanted. A conflict that, I believe, ultimately led to the demise of the show.

Hard to tell where he stands in that regard). I liked "The Commish," but had trouble with "21 Jump Street." I would also love to see "Top of the Hill." That's probably the only thing I've read that actually had any real link to the behind the scenes stuff. And yes, it was creative differences - SJC wanted it to be a lot more like the first season and a half, the new bigshots at ABC wanted Ralph and Bill chasing more monsters. While I liked the monster ones, it's not everyone's cup of tea. (Plus one of the two "monsters" is at the very end). Then again - the monsters bit did work for "Beast in the Black" so I guess catch-22.
