At least they didn't show some of the less desireable ones.

Well, save probably the pilot, they have a majority of fan favorite episodes listed in this... ... though I have to admit I'd rather have neither pilot shown than both or worse, "GAHeroine" only show.

Hey GG,
Surprised I haven't heard about this. Thanks for the info. SyFy has always done a Twilight Zone marathon on July 4th. Now I'm wondering if they'll run these episodes with original cover songs.

So, let's see how I did with the list I made a couple weeks ago:
- Pilot - Saturday on Sunset Boulevard - My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys - The Best Desk Scenario - Operation Spoilsport - Don't Mess Around with Jim - The Good Samaritan - The Shock Will Kill You - Divorce Venusian Style - This is the One the Suit Was Meant For
Other possibilities:
- The Beast in the Black - The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea - A Chicken in Every Plot - The Price is Right - Fire Man - The Hit Car
Can't believe I forgot about Captain Bellybuster! But 11 out of 16 isn't a bad take at all.

Anyone notice a slight speed up in the episodes? I noticed it during the opening sequence and like now during the "Friends" song in Fire Man. Not a faster frame rate, but as if they're dropping frames and keeping the audio in sync when they drop the frames. The opening theme seemed faster or off a few beats once in a while.

I hadn't noticed it, but I just got home from work. Some of us have to work for a living, Claye.

On SUNDAYS???
j/k I know very well that people work. I just now decided to check my theory. Even without the extra "who could it be-e? Believe it or not it's just meeeee"... the song finished about 10+ seconds before it normally does. Odd for a show that HAS commercial breaks in it. Then again, SyFy is very known (especially back during the "Sci-Fi" days) for long commercial breaks.

They played the original music? I managed to catch part of FIREMAN and YOU DON'T MESS AROUND WITH JIM so far. Claye: This job requires me to work on the 4th, not Sunday. They just happened to coincide this year.

Then again, SyFy is very known (especially back during the "Sci-Fi" days) for long commercial breaks. Thing is, I've noticed watching "Dreams" right now that they have this tendency to add at least one or two spots where it normally doesn't break. I think they averaged three breaks when they originally ran in 1981. Cool on "O:SS" having the original music - though there are really only two other episodes listed that had any music replaced here and they were brief. Too bad they didn't give this consideration for the actual DVDs.

Well, needless to say, I've had my TV locked onto SyFy all day from beginning to end (I had to work - I work from home - and needed background noise). Anyway, I finally got a good look at GAH on regular TV, and here are my thoughts...
The theme sounds like Joey Scarsbury is doing speed. The commercial breaks took some getting used to. The DVDs spoil me in that respect. As I predicted, they gave us squashed credits, drowning out the end theme. Thankfully, at least the credits are visible. If it was on TV Land, they'd superimpose them on top the end scene. I hate that.
The only edit I obviously noticed, and was disappointed with, was in "Sunset Boulevard", they cut out the part of Cyler's phone call to Bill, where he calls him a fruitcake, and tells him to drop dead. That was always an LOL moment for me. My favorite ep is up next - "Divorce Venusian Style". Can't wait.
I wouldn't mind if SyFy kept this around, so the casual viewer can happen upon it. But still, I'm glad I have my DVDs handy.

They cut out the first playing of "Opposites" in "DVS," but I'm not too surprised because they've added at least one more break in the commercials, so they have to fit it in. From what I'm noticing though, at least they're keeping the natural ones in there as well.

Then again, SyFy is very known (especially back during the "Sci-Fi" days) for long commercial breaks. Yeah, I noticed that the opening theme was about 30 bpm faster than normal. EDIT: Now with the next episode, they keep changing the speed - it slows down with the verse, then speeds up at the chorus. To add: Ralph just shrunk down...uh-oh.

I totally forgot that it was on today and did not DVR it ... And they are playing all the shows with the original music ... dang!!!!! I wonder why non of the online sources that show the series never has the pilot episode.

Perhaps it has to do with music rights and royalties? Not sure what issues YouTube or Hulu would have with "Rocket Man," "Space Oddity," or "Help Me Rhonda."
