So is anyone gonna watch this? Even though I do not watch anything first-run any more, I plan to at least see the first episode. Have planned on it for a while now, even before all the articles I have seen online comparing it to tGAH.
Of course, I have also seen the same comparison with Chuck, and I have never seen a second of that show...

Nothing new these days really captures my interest, this included.
Reruns of the early seasons of Scrubs, The Office, and My Name is Earl are still fun. I would turn to those before I would watch this, most likely.

Of course, I have also seen the same comparison with Chuck, and I have never seen a second of that show... The only "Similarity" I've seen between "GAH" and "Chuck" is that Chuck has special powers... ... but a. they were basically downloaded into his mind, and b. he's a normal human and can be shot, drugged, and potentially killed (meaning no suit). Oh, and he has a hot co-star whose character is falling in love with him and has a job he's rather underappreciated working with. >>>>>>>>>> I plan on watching this tonight if I get home quickly enough. IMHO, I think this will be cute, and it will be good to see Michael Chiklis (SP off I know) in a comedy/drama again. Wasn't fond of him in "The Shield" though he is a terrific actor.

I am not planning on watching it. To me, I would rather they had kept HEROES on TV if they were going to have another show similar to it come around.
And CHUCK is awesome!
I don't watch many new shows anymore either.

OK, I have been able to catch bits and pieces of this show, and while there are some similarities to "GAH," the main one is that the family has to deal with having superpowers but trying to live a normal life and not ABUSE the powers.
They're more along the lines of "The Invincibles" in this regard except they don't have a superhero costume. And they have a bad guy who has superhero powers.
It's actually quite a cute show, but I wish work didn't interfere as much as it does so I could watch an entire episode, but no, it's not a knock off of "GAH."
I can see if they ever do it a modern-day "GAH" done in a similar manner but instead of the people having powers, it being the traditional suit gives the wearer powers (and unlike "NOF," they still bumble around in the suit and don't know how the powers work or how to control them).

I watched it and it was ok, except I didn't like that the parents don't know their son got his power. Have they found out yet?

I think so - unfortunately with that thing called work and what I do now interferes a lot. There is very little I've not like Chiklis in, so that helps out, but it is a nice change of pace from say 50 billion (it seems) "Law and Orders." Then again - ABC is getting better at having creative and interesting shows. "Castle" is by far one of my favorite shows - tonight's episode with the aliens was quite funny, and there was one scene I thought "Is this a tribute to 'GAH'/SJC"? Won't spoil for those who haven't seen it, but it was fun.
