I just found out on TV with our news station. I remember Nielsen not just for his comedic roles, but his dramatic ones as well. One of my favorite roles he played was "The Swamp Fox" which was not only a good mini-series, but he did a great job in it. I also loved him in "Mr. Magoo" as well as "Airplane!" and though a small role, "The Posideon Adventure." One of the more interesting things he guest-starred in was an episode of "The Wild Wild West." I haven't seen it in a while, but he was at his best in the dramatic side of his acting. Another great actor who could do both Comedy and Drama lost. He'll be missed.

Sad to see him go.
I think he would have been a fun foil for Bill Maxwell on GAH. ;D

Sad to see him go. I think he would have been a fun foil for Bill Maxwell on GAH. ;D I agree - but I don't know if he'd been in more of a Frank Dresden character or a more serious role like he played as Swamp Fox or the like. That said - he'd been excellent as a foil for Bill or Carlisle (i.e. Carlisle's boss. ).

I think it would have been neat to see him play the Carlisle role actually. ;D

I think it would have been neat to see him play the Carlisle role actually. ;D He would have been a good Hannibal Smith, too. Very sad.
