Well, though it's rare here where I live, we have had snow overnight.
When I lived in West Texas, it was rather easy to drive around. If it got too icy, I was just able to stay on campus and walk to WalMart or the grocery store to get food. The worst year the snow hit I had a full meal plan so I just ate in the cafeteria. And, for entertainment, I could go to the museum and spend hours there.
Today? Another story. So far I've succeeded in sliding down a hill to where a tractor was needed to pull me out, and slipped and slid around on my feet as well as my car I've felt like I was in a game of barroom shuffleboard/bowling (those coaster things you slide on a waxed board and play games).
So far, healthy, happy, car's fine and I'm not in the hospital...
But I sure am tired of being in this snow daze.
How is everyone else (besides Florida, which I still think is the only state to not have had snow this year) enjoying this cold, snowy weather?

I don't think Hawaii had snow. Snow is common in Iowa. I'm fine with the several inches we got...and the ice.

We haven't had snow that stuck since last February (at least, not in the Charleston area). But we did have an ice storm a few weeks ago...it was cool to look at, but I'm glad I didn't need to go anywhere. I just stayed inside and drank hot chocolate with marshmallows

It's cleared up here except for spots on ground that doesn't get any sun. That should disappear when the sun warms up the ground. All I know is that I owe a place a bunch of cookies and a thank you card though.

The local news here said we might get some sleet/snow tomorrow morning, but it shouldn't cause problems :/ I hope that's true!

We had cold winds today and a flash freeze early this morning. ON the plus side, I ended up with a couple of neat photos.
Downside - it was 23 degrees and with the wind was even colder (maybe 8-14), so cold that I could only spend being outside 5 or so minutes before I had to find some place to get warm. Kinda eerie feeling there though - I can see why people got lost in the snow easily, cold weather can confuse you.

It was well below zero here. OK, but did you get to stay in a nice warm building all day?

No. I got to be outside as usual. I am in and out every day. I got to stay outside in 23 degree weather about 10 minutes. I felt like the ice cream I later went on and purchased. Why cold weather makes me want ice cream I don't know.
