Well, I've been mentioning the second GAH interactive game thread for some time now, but I wanted to get an idea on who'd be interested in participating. For those who do not know what an interactive game thread is, it is a round robin type story where one member starts the story, and others add on to it. Ultimately, if everything goes well, a great story is created. In the last one, we had characters from other shows make appearances, and a few board members had namesakes in the story as well. They are a lot of fun and the stories can go really wild. For those interested in how the first one went, here is the link to the story, since named "Ruby in the Sky with Greenguys:" tgah.proboards43.com/index.cgi?board=show&action=display&thread=1110148239Because of the hustle and bustle right now, the second game thread is planned to start after the new year, but I created this poll to see who'd be interested in writing in the story. It isn't a binding contract (that you will have to write), but just to see if there is an interest in it. Also, if you have any ideas about rules and paragraph length, feel free to comment and give your ideas. The last thread, there were only a few rules (written by Average American Hero): 1. You can not post two moves in a row. You post your move or character action, then allow some one to do theirs. 2. Try to post the next move or action in a descriptive manner. 3. Don't be a perv or vulgar. Use your imagination. Lets even throw characters from other shows or fiction (comics, books, movies). As far as the story, there is an idea in the works, just needing some tweaking. I'm not putting it out yet since we're not starting the story yet, but I will PM anyone interested with the basics. I will say though that there are two differences in this start. One, this will be focused on all three more than the first one, and two, the bad guy is pretty much settled on. So, in the words of Ralph: Here goes nothing.

Again. Yep, quite adequate, though I didn't start the first one. Also, what do you think of the idea for the villian? It's the one secret that will stay between a few of us (at least in the beginning). The person has, at least I think, volunteered for the role. (ETA, another rule we're considering changing is the wait between posts. Last one was only a one move wait, which was a good and bad thing. Good was it allowed for a variety of writers, bad was it ended up putting us on a temporary hiatus for seven months. So, any ideas on that would also be appreciated so we can nip the rules in the bud, so to speak. )

One other rule I've been thinking about is this time to not include any TV/movie characters other than those in "GAH" and a couple of created characters in the story. That way, it'll keep the story closer to GAH and not stray into the crossover realm. This will avoid potential roadblocks if writers haven't watched the show mentioned. Right now, move length wise, there have been ideas to keep it to either 3 'graphs or 5 'graphs standard max. (A standard graph is five sentences, so 15 to 20 sentences total). There might also be a time frame on this one so we can keep the action going, but I don't know about this yet. Only reason there might be one is to avoid a potential seven month hiatus like we did on the last one. That was no one's fault, the story was put in "stasis" so to speak since the last poster (me) was frozen, but MyTatuo decided to bring his move back so we could continue. If we did include a time frame, I'd say it'd be about two months max. That way, there'd be something new in the folder each day. Also, for those who don't want to write right now, please read along when it starts up. If you feel inspired to add a move, you can always hop in later. That's part of the fun with this.

I voted "yea" - Although a newbie at interactivev fics, I'm game for a game! Also, for those who don't want to write right now, please read along when it starts up. If you feel inspired to add a move, you can always hop in later. That's part of the fun with this. I like this rule - takes some of the pressure off both groups (players and not-sure-they-want-to-be-players).

"Ruby in the Sky with Greenguys" was my first one, and I can tell you it was a lot of fun. The story can be as wild and crazy as the mind can imagine, just like the suit powers. Who knows what can happen? And, as I said above, this isn't a "if you say yes, you must post" thread. I just want to see who'd be interested in writing in it and getting some basic rules in there so everyone can have fun (and so the moves aren't going on forever ).

Well, it's been a couple of days, so I wanted to see who else might be interested in writing in the next GAH thread to get an idea on the rules. I will confirm now that the villian has been confirmed and though I won't say whom, it will be a namesake. Any ideas again would be appreciated. (Sorry, I'll quit sounding like one of those silly paid programming announcers. )

Who? Who? Who? Tell me. Very funny HD, you know whom I'm speaking about, LOL. Unless, that is you want me to narrow down the list for people and post it on the boards? But then again, what fun is that?

Oh...so what is the count up too officially? I haven't voted. OK, OK, fair's fair as far as I can see (though don't know why you're kidding me, unless I sound too much like Ralph ). I see that there's four votes, one of which is my own (and obviously I didn't vote NO. ) I'm just trying to see who all's interested in writing. I know we have you, me and silverhammer, so that's three, don't know the third vote, since you haven't voted. [ ] Bill: The interactive what? MelMac, I think you need to be in the rubber room more than Ralph sometimes. Really, I guess there's room for two, HD. You me and two jackets with the fasteners down the back. Not to mention I will plead soft walls in this. Lookit, I'm trying, but well, if all else fails I'll just start the thread and let it take off. And now, this message was brought to you by Wordy People's club, home of the CE's who proof papers but can't type worth anything on messageboards.

Why would Bill want to write in this? ( ) Anyway, all three and the kids will get plenty of action in this one, that's why I have the story idea as is. That way, everyone can focus more on a particular character if they want.

One of the "Yes"es is me! Ah, so solves the mystery of the third yes vote. Glad to have you aboard Lauren. Would you like me to PM you the basic premise of the story? (Don't know if I have yet.) Right now, it looks like it will be in January. I'm going to write the rough draft of the first one soon, but won't post it until then. Unless there is a change, I'll write it as those the posts can be no longer than 25 sentences max. People can write shorter, but for the most part not longer. That way, those of us who are verbose can write a bit more.

I just PM'd about get the story premise. It's been sent You know, it seems if I'm not being literal (which is a good thing), I tend to post or write something before I read the messageboard posts prior to it. Better be careful with that, or the next story I'll be sending Ralph in the wrong direction again.
