This past week, I made a Ralph out of polymer clay for fun. He turned out really cute and I will post him up in the next few days.
That said, I've been reading Vid's comments about how the original suit would've looked, as well as seen the picture of the original sketch and thought - wonder if I should try it and show what could've been the suit.
This particular Ralph might not be baked in the oven afterward, but that is not for sure yet.
So I thought - why not ask and see if there's any interest or not.
I will warn you though - this Ralph would be a few weeks away in the making, but it is at least a way to get a thought on it.

Here is the clay version I made of Ralph, designed a bit from a kid's point of view. He's about two inches tall, about 2-1/4 inches wide from cape point to cape point, and then about 1-3/4 long. The views are front, back and top down to show the trim on the boots.

I get that alot apparently... lol. There is also a bracelet based on the characters in the show, but the last piece is currently baking and I won't be able to glaze it until tomorrow afternoon earliest. I had this idea back in March, but due to the busyness known as work (and that I do make and sell jewelry as a side business), it was on the backburner.

I have just realized I need to add another coat of glaze on this Ralph and in a couple of places.
And... I've been working on a second one and have added some other touches such as having the collar actually fasten in the front and a button like the one worn with the suit. He's also a little larger, so that helped out with some of the details.
Then again - I was just happy it only took one take on the suit emblem this time - the white clay didn't get super soft or try to take on every color and then some.

Well... he IS a figurine, so there's always that creepy look. You should see the second one I've made - I used true blue for the eyes and they're a bit darker. I did at least find a proper light blue, but I haven't tested the bake color of it yet, so I don't know yet what's going to turn up. (I've been known to scortch the clay.)

Looking at the new Ralph again, I plan on fixing the eyes to a light blue, re-baking the figuring and glazing it again. I think he'll look better with the light colored eyes. I will take a photo and post up to show you the similarities and differences between the two.

Thanks... but it'll be a few days. I forgot that it took a while to hang up pendants on the jewelry tree display for the festivals, so I didn't get to work on it tonight. One of these days if I have the patience, I will try my hand at a Bill and Pam one. Making Ralph alone takes about two and a half hours from start to bake to glaze. Then again, he takes some time because the curls have to be individually made and then there's overlapping the layers to make sure he's not bald in spots, then the emblem can be tricky if the white is real soft. I've had to make several of them before because the white was too soft, stuck to the black like the Beast in Black on Ralph, and I had to just roll it into a spiral bead.

Well the second clay Ralph I made is entered in our fair contest. Don't know yet what I'll get for him, but it was cool that I had enough space open to enter him in the show as well. Will let you know probably Wednesday or Thursday when I get to go into the exhibit hall.

Good news: The Clay Ralph won a blue ribbon. Bad news: someone dropped him while putting the fair items out so he has a broken leg I'm going to have to "set."

Thanks Herald. I did rather well overall - 11 blue ribbons and a grand champion for a photo. I also won first place in the talent show. It was a fun fair.
Oh, and BTW - Ralph has been glued back together and looks great. Will say though that anyone trying to make their own clay figurine - of any of the trio - be sure to wire the arms, legs, and head because if something like this happens it is easier to glue back together.
