....because he doesn't have to!
Ralph doesn't need to learn to land gently because in the suit he's invulnerable so crashing into stuff doesn't hurt him. After re-watching the entire series on the occasions he is carrying someone else while flying/falling he either lands better or makes sure he's the one to hit the ground first, cushioning his passenger. Since crash-landings don't hurt he doesn't have much incentive to get better at them, and if at the same time he's concentrating on maintaining speed and direction (so he doesn't hit people or something really fragile) it might not be that important to him.

Ah, good point! yes, it doesn't matter much to Ralph while wearing the suit if his landing is graceful or not. He would probably prefer to make a good landing, just for the sake of not looking silly......Of course, it would help if he hadn't lost that instruction manual the greenguys gave him.

Good landing or not, Ralph will always feel he looks silly in the suit.

And that's part of the entertainment value of the show. He brings being a reluctant superhero to a whole other level---so reluctant that even wearing the costume is a source of embarassment. I'm surprised he doesn't wear a trenchcoat over it the whole time. Lol
