I know many of us have episodes that we wish did not exist or that answered our questions more thoroughly. However, this thread is not about that per se.
Instead, I want to know what episode you wish had been made. If you were in the writer's room, which idea would you have pitched during the initial series run and why? Who was the bad guy? Was there a new suit power? Be detailed!

This is a very interesting topic. I'll have to give it some thought first. I'll be very interested to read the ideas that other fans have regarding this.

Although I never had a specific idea for it, I always wanted to see the series do a time travel story.
I'm sure that popped into my head after seeing Don't Mess Around With Jim and the thought of a possible flashback that we DID NOT get to see in the finished show.
Little did I know that writer Rudolph Borchert DID suggest a time travel episode. Going back in time to assist Maxwell's father. Story is it was turned down because of the expense to produce such an episode.

I'm thinking of the episodes on STARGATE SG-1 that focuses on time travel. They are hard to perfect and you always have holes, but it would have been neat to have them try. Makes you wonder though if the Greenguys would have given the suit such a power? Seeing part of Bill's past would have been neat though, especially seeing his family.

I think an episode I would have liked to see is an identity switch. Think BEAST IN THE BLACK, but with two of the team members. Ideally, it would have to involve Ralph because he is the suit wearer, but can you imagine him and Ralph changing identities a la FREAKY FRIDAY or him and Pam?

I think that could have worked. Maxwell in the body of Ralph FINALLY getting to run "the suit" the way he wanted to could have been fantastic
Plus unlike almost EVERY other series from the 1980s we did NOT get to see a evil twin episode.

I have always wondered if that would have happened. Even in a more realistic way like THE A-TEAM in Showdown!

A time travel episode would've been great! In fact, why not two of them? One where Ralph would've travelled to somewhere in the past, in another century, and one where Ralph would've travelled to the future.
One episode that would've been hard to make on a TV budget back then, but which would've been great: an episode where Ralph would've gone to the planet of the Greenguys. Nowadays, with CGI, it would be much easier to accomplish (although CGI is still costly).

Why would he go to the planet of the Greenguys? Didn't he kind of do that in DIVORCE when they flew over it?

I mean that they would take Ralph travelling through time to the past on the surface of the planet for whatever reason, to help them solve a crime perhaps, and we would see the planet when it was populated by millions of Greenguys, and we would see their houses, vehicles, etc., and whst their world looked like before it was destroyed.

I see. You wanted to mingle the two. I thought you were talking about them as two separate episodes. Although I'm not sure what Ralph could do when an entire society of Greenguys (the suit creators) couldn't save themselves...

No, I meant in the distant past, before the Greenguys' existential problems happened. We would've therefore had a glimpse into their society during their "golden age", when they were at the top of their game, so to speak.

Even to see them at our level of technology and watch it all come crashing down.

It would be cool, actually, if we saw that many of them on the Greenguy planet were wearing suits like Ralph, with that logo, and we would see them flying through the air gracefully (since they have had the chance to read the instruction manual, unlike Ralph. )

It would also make you wonder how many suits are out there in use in the galaxy.
