I was watching the pilot today and I noticed the music changes in the episode, but I didn't really miss the original music. I know some fans are up in arms over it, especially in certain episodes, but I didn't have that feeling during the pilot.
The new songs (or even the reuse of the theme song) felt like they fit pretty well overall. I listened to the words and the music and they all seemed to fit.
What does everyone else think about the music changes in the pilot?

I thought they were all pretty bad, anything with vocals that is.
The only one that didn't bother me, was the use of the regular "hero" music when Ralph flies over the wall to save Bill at the estate.

So do you hate all of the songs in the series that have vocals or just this episode? To me, the songs fit more of the specific episode feeling than did the big budget ones. Granted, I prefer the original as well, but I wasn't turned off by the changes.

I hate all the songs in the DVD that were replacements for the originals.
To me those scenes are now ruined. However, I don't poo poo anyone who likes some or all the changes. Different strokes for different folks you know. Besides, the music may not be as big of deal to some fans.

I prefer the original myself. I will have to see if my mom still has the VHS tapes I made during marathons...
I try to be open-minded now though. Does the song take away from the scene or feel out of place? In most of the episodes, it doesn't seem so.

They always feel out of place, and some for sure take away from the scene.
Some more than others.
