It was noted that the original plan for the show was to have a girlfriend of the week who kept catching Ralph in ridiculous situations and breaking up with him. While that was a trope that has been used plenty, it was nice to see them scale it back here. It was said that it was because of Connie's ability to be dramatic and funny depending on the situation.
If you had to choose one scene from the pilot that showcased her acting abilities the best, which would it be and why? I'm curious to hear what other fans of the show think since she was kept on through the end.

The scenes where Ralph showed Pam his superpowers for the first time really showcased Connie Sellecca's acting abilities. She quickly became an important part of the show and gave it an added dimension----beyond the whole "buddy cop" thing. The episodes where she's missing (because of her real life pregnancy/birth) are noticeable for her absence---to me, at least.

I'm soooooo glad they did not go with "girlfriend of the week" thing and kept Sellecca.
Much better with having conflict with Pam + the suit + Maxwell, than Ralph getting caught in a situation or the suit etc by a new woman in every episode.
Kudo's to Cannell for realizing keeping Pam was the best thing to do.

Connie Sellecca is a big part of the show's appeal for me. Smart, witty, funny---and of course drop-dead gorgeous! She was one of my earliest childhood crushes, long before I actually knew anything about the "birds and the bees". I think The Bionic Woman (lol!) was actually my very first crush (when I was 4 or 5), followed by Connie when I was about 7. What can I say---those were very charming ladies even to a little kid. 😄

I think her look to Ralph when he uses the Lois Lane joke before he rescues Bill really started to sell me on her and then her performance after she pulled over at the park sold me completely. I like that they integrated her as well as they did overall.
