I have a few Questions for this episode that always make me scratch my head and wonder? 1. In this episode you hear them talking about this money they came into. Ralph talks to Pam about getting a Jaguare with this newly aquired money, a red one at that. not to mention the new fake seal skin what ever boots he bought with this money. I think it also paid for the trip. Also Bill mentions something about all there work finally paying off or something like that. I thought this was the answer, but I watched it today just to be sure. Ralph and Pam are talking about how expensive ski clothes are and Ralph says he is wearing the suit to save money so he can buy the Jaguar. He never said anything about coming into money, only that he was saving money so one day he could buy it. He probably didn't buy it because he lost all his money to Alicia.

Yeah, and apparently he lost his kid along with the cash.

Yeah, and apparently he lost his kid along with the cash. Good riddance anyway, right? Given how little they put Kevin in, yes... but I did like him in the few eps he's in, especially "MHHBC" and the pilot.

Ok here we go, this is a great episode because when you think about it, the whole story is about different kinds of people trying to convince each other that they're actually on the same side. We have a tendency in life to use labels on ourselves and others to keep us separate, but in reality we all basically want the same things in life. One thing that bothered me though, I mean the suit can do all these amazing things, yet translating a language is too challenging for it?? How does that work?! I mean I know the suit's not from Earth but it doesn't seem to have any trouble understanding Ralph! Lol, then again, since Ralph only seems to know English, perhaps that's the only Earth language the suit feels required to sprechen.

This is an underrated episode, IMHO. I like it quite a bit. Sandra Kerns is great in the role of the ex-hippie, animal rights activist, etc... The contrast with Bill Maxwell is striking. LOL I love the scene when she does a "cool" handshake with Bill-----Bill's reaction is priceless! ;D
This is TGAH's only episode in a winter "alpine" setting------nice backdrops. The story is a pretty "run-of-the-mill" one, though: the usual Cold War crap. ;D

I love the scene when she does a "cool" handshake with Bill-----Bill's reaction is priceless! ;D As are Ralph and Bill's totally opposite reactions when Sam talks about saving the whales, lol. Plus Bill referring to Ralph as his bird dog, that was cute, lol. I think it's a deceptively simple plot though. It's saying, "Hippie or conservative, who cares, either way it's all speech making and theoretical. We have the chance to save a life right now." I think it just shows how totally out of touch with reality we are when we spend so much time thinking up labels for ourselves and others. : )

I think you're right-----there's more to this episode that meets the eye. There's more going on beneath the surface.
