He must not have thought his HOUSE MD appearance was a waste...he did it.

He must not have thought his HOUSE MD appearance was a waste...he did it. I'm sure he enjoyed the experience & welcomed the work. But as a fan of Katt (& House MD), I thought he was wasted in the role. Feel the love. dolfyn.

I thought it was a good role for him. Just like former TV stars should be...background. I thought he did a good job in it, especially since the kid was the main foe against House.

Oh, you just wish you were a background former TV star! Katt would've succeeded in shining if it wasn't for that pesky kid.... *shakes fist* (Watch out world, I'm feeling feisty today! hehee!) Feel the love. dolfyn. ;D

I thought it was a good role for him. Just like former TV stars should be...background. What's it matter if he's a former TV star? He can act better than several people who are current stars. Same goes for Culp. Don't sell any former series stars short because they don't currently work on a show.

(Hugh Laurie is one who is an exception there though - still think he should get an Emmy someday for playing House).

I like most of the older TV stars better than current ones anyway...with few exceptions.

(There are some exceptions). Wish we had more of them than the reality "stars" or those who cause more scandal than actual enjoyable things to watch.

Well, I missed it, darn it! Katt's flying appearance is both on YouTube and the TVLand Web site. "House, MD" is on the second season collection, or you might luck out and be able to watch it on some network.

I have House. As soon as it was finished I DVD;d it. You Tube has a copyright thing so I couldn't post it. Oh well...

That's one reason why they tend to not let the shows air on YouTube. It's actually an interesting episode, with good performances from all the actors in the show. Still think Hugh Laurie should win an Emmy soon for his performance. YOu can't tell he's British in real life - he does the American accent that well.

That's because he uses the same method that Johnny Depp does, where he speaks with his character's accent the whole day when he's filming, so he's not having to go in & out of it. Feel the love. dolfyn.

Feel the love. dolfyn. True, but unlike many I've listened too - he stays in it perfectly. I've never heard him say any word in a way that an American wouldn't say it, such as I'd hear on occasion from Nicola Bryant ("Peri") on the original run of "Doctor Who." It takes a lot of training and determination to stay totally in character, though I have read that Laurie has said that it's been hard to go from American to British accent.

I tell you what, we Aussies can always pick it when an actor's trying to do our accent. It always sounds terrible & makes us cringe! Apparently, ours is the hardest to do. ;D Feel the love. dolfyn.

That I will concede - given I've had to try. Then again, for someone who's lived in Texas most of her life, I'm told constantly I don't sound like I'm from Texas. But, then again, a lot of people think that Texans are all supposed to have a West Texas twang. (heaviest accent in the state.)

After finding Gentle Ben listed in my TV guide for this week & marking it, I missed taping it, dammit!!! It was aired on Monday as the midday movie, but I was so tired on Sunday night & then rushing to work Monday morning, that I forgot to check! Grrrr! Annoying! Feel the love. dolfyn.

Don't feel bad, you're not the only one. I had set up to record his appearance on "Andromeda" ("For whom the bell tolls") and got most of it... but not where he fights Kevin Sorbo. Did finally get to see it though and it's quite funny IMHO. (well, going on earlier characters it's Ralph vs. Hercules).
