After finding Gentle Ben listed in my TV guide for this week & marking it, I missed taping it, dammit!!! It was aired on Monday as the midday movie, but I was so tired on Sunday night & then rushing to work Monday morning, that I forgot to check! Grrrr! Annoying! Feel the love. dolfyn. Don't feel bad, you're not the only one. I had set up to record his appearance on "Andromeda" ("For whom the bell tolls") and got most of it... but not where he fights Kevin Sorbo. Did finally get to see it though and it's quite funny IMHO. (well, going on earlier characters it's Ralph vs. Hercules). *sigh* I was really kicking myself, that's all. Anyway, my DVD of Stranger By Night arrived yesterday & I watched it last night. I really didn't like WK's character! I found myself being quite repelled by some of his behaviour, & he just seemed like a seedy guy. I also never thought I'd hear WK utter the "f-word"; not that I'm a prude about swearing, it just seemed wrong coming from him. The only redeeming part of the movie was the last sequence when he finds out who the killer is. But really, that's more of a testament to Katt's acting rather than my actually liking the character at all. I wouldn't recommend this one to other Katt fans. An actor of Katt's talent deserved to be in better quality stuff than this or AvH. Feel the love. dolfyn.

I've heard him say worse words in better movies. First Love, (sigh) He said the C word. And that was a great movie. You should also see Double X

Stranger By Night is the one where he's a cop, & he & his partner (the main character) are tracking down a murderer who kills prostitutes. Katt's character kept cheating on his wife, mostly with hookers, & had a reputation as sometimes being violent with them. Very seedy. I found myself saying "Oh no!" several times at the TV last night. What's Double X about? And there's a gay film?? Feel the love. dolfyn.

You should also see Double X The gay film is "Circuit" (Which I don't have it and have other choices in mind for the next one I get), but he plays I think a shady club owner (i.e. also sells drugs or something) there as well. He doesn't play gay is all I know - the rest please don't shoot the messenger - I could be wrong. Have to admit I had a suprise when Pare said the "F-word" in some movie he's been in, but have to admit, I would be surprised too hearing Katt say it on screen. Now... other words I had though, but not neither. Says one thing though - if you're repulsed a bit by the character's behavior, it shows Katt is able to shed the good guy persona and go for the sleazeball type character. Another good example of that is the "Police Woman" episode he's in ("Calling All Wives").

I wouldn't have a problem with Katt playing a bad guy or a shady con-man or something, it's just the seedy sleazy thing I didn't like. It just made me think "Ick" & it felt all wrong. But maybe that's just me. It's a shame that Katt's done so many B-grade projects, really, because he's also done some truly wonderful stuff. With his talent, he deserved to be an A-list star, IMO. Feel the love. dolfyn. ;D

As for Double X, here's the description from the back of the video tape:

As for Double X, here's the description from the back of the video tape: Oooh! So I'm guessing Katt's a baddie in that? Cool. That would work well too, because he has one of those friendly faces, so it'd be more chilling that he turns out to be a bad guy. Feel the love. dolfyn. ;D

Katt's episode of House (MD) was on Aussie TV last night. Even though he didn't really get to do much with his role, I taped it anyway. When I spoke to my Mum on the phone tonight & asked her if she'd watched it, she said, "Oh no! I forgot!" But then she cheered up when I told her I'd taped it! I think she has as much of a fan-crush on him as I do! heheheee! ;D She's also interested in watching Big Wednesday. Feel the love. dolfyn.

I sympathize with her though: They had one of Katt's "JAG" episodes on yesterday, and I fell asleep before I could watch it. I blame the Olympics delaying the local affiliate's nightly news for it - messes me up on sleep. Did During Athens too. "House vs. God," the episode that Katt's in, is very good, and while I wish Katt had a bigger role, he did a good job. Only thing I think I didn't like him in was his "Diagnosis Murder" episode. Wasn't bad in it, but I think he'd been the better villain.
