Villacona was in HOPE FLOATS with Sandra Bullock? I have only seen it once but I don't remember him I guess...he must really look different or a REALLY secondary character.

He is a terrible character in it. He is the horrible husband who cheats on Sandra Bullock with her best friend. I hate his character in this movie.

Yeah...it is horrible when they typecast someone.

Came across this bit of info this morning on Yahoo TV & News site...looks like Pare's doing a stint on a show called "South Beach" produced by J-LO?!...whod'a thunk it? Read the cast credits at the bottom of page... Sounds like a crappy show to me! LOL tv.yahoo.com/news/va/20060111/113697927000.html

I like how it talks about the pretty people...and yet Pare is in it.

It is a crappy show. He was in it the first five minutes. It opens with him getting beaten up for gambling debts: Then, his character has to face his son, whose college money he has gambled away. It's a terrible part. He did a good job.

I thought that was how he always looked...out of focus. So he did a good job of acting like a deadbeat, huh? Hmmm....

I know. It's depressing. I'm ignoring your actual intent with that comment!

There's just something about him... I just love when he's on screen. Whatever it is, it has kept him working steadily.

True...most shows need deadbeats who can't act.

So is he a Tony type character or has he avoided the typecast thing?

He has tried many, many different kinds of roles, from all out hero to victim of circumstance. He really hasn't played a "Tony" type of character since then. I don't think he has been typecast. Hey HD, a little bit of Tony-envy, or what?

Tony envy, huh? That would be the only thing that could make my life worse...envying someone like that. From what I have seen of him, he should have stayed with the TONY typecast...his career might have been better.
