I've read long ago in the old forum about Joey Scarbury being now a Car Dealer or working for one, I can't remember. Anyway, he is not easily traceable until a contact info could eventually appear on his CD out soon. S. Geyer I think to remember was available for private parties and has his own band.
Does anyone know if Mr Cannell and Joey Scarbury are currently in good relations? And how about the relation between Mr Cannell and S.Geyer?

I personally am in frequent contact (email) with Stephen Geyer. I haven't asked him directly, but it sounds like he has had little contact with either of them in quite some time. Next time I'm in contact with him I'll ask him though, and let you know what he says.

oh, interesting, thanx. Not that I am interested in whoo-is-friend-with-whoo but I just wandered whether the relationship between Mr Cannell and the 2 could have had a part in the songs wash-out (apart from costly copyrights, of course). It's good to know that they are in good relations, though.

Heard back Stephen Geyer today - here's what he had to say (re-printed with his kind permission, by the way). Cool guy, nice of him to not only respond, but to give me permission to post it here:
-------------------------------------------------
"Re: your query about my contact with Scarbury/Cannell: A few years ago I ran into one of Joey's old friends and asked him to have Joey call me. Unfortunately, I never heard from him. I tried to contact Cannell thru his website, also a couple of years ago, and got a polite though nonresponsive reply from someone who works the site. I sensed that I was being dealt with as either a manic stalker, or a disgruntled ex-employee trying to get to the boss! Very disappointing, but typical of Hollywood relationships.
When they're on, they're so ON ("You ARE so amazing, wonderful, brilliant, and talented. Let's do lunch!") and the minute they're off, well, you get an assistant to the secretary saying, "I'm sorry sir, what did you say your name was? I'll leave a message (NOT) for Mr. ____ , but he's a VERY busy man.") It's called the Hollywood Handshake.
I know it's not the image many would want to have of Cannell, but it is what it is."
-------------------------------------------------
So there it is. Somehow, I am not surprised by this at all. It struck me as strange that they interviewed Mike Post for the S2 DVD set and not Stephen Geyer as well (who wrote all the friggin' songs). It doesn't sound like there will be any great turnaround for the season three set either. Oh well. Geyer is still in the music business and has a great kid (Devon) who plays a mean guitar - he sounds like a happy guy, and that's all that matters.

Woah that's interesting! Great insight info you got there, man.. so Mr Cannell is either not willing to get in touch with them or nobody working for him thinks it's the case to pass the message on (who knows if he'd be interested to talk to Geyer/SCarbury or not) So this at least tells me that S. Geyer seeked friendly contact which would exclude some sort of feud or other cause between Cannell and the 2 which would make him refrain from paying copyrights for the DVDs' songs as a negative action. Just a pure penny-saving decision was then the cause of the songs wipe-off. Also interesting his insight view on the Hollywood concept of relationship. We also learn here how your unanswered letters to Mr Cannell were dealt with. Thank you Maxwell - F.B.I. for all this and thank you to Stephen Geyer for his quick and friendly response, I wish him the best of luck he is a great talented guy.

impressive for his age, he's on the road to become the next Pat Metheny. In a certain way this reminds me of School of Rock but this is for real, anyway some great guitarists started at a very early age, it's the passion for the music that makes them progress. Good luck to him and all the best for his career.
