OK, I know these two DVDs of the "I Spy" eps Robert wrote have been mentioned in other threads, but I just had to spout this off...
I GOT IT TODAY!!!
I called Tower Records in Seattle, and confirmed they had it, and spent the entire day traveling TO Seattle, getting my little grubbies on the first two DVDs I've ever bought, and I just about OD'd on RC for the past five hours.
His commentary, as some of you may know, is extremely in-depth. It's audio, so you basically listen to him talk while silently watching an ep. I swear he went well over two hours; I watched "So Long Patrick Henry" twice, with "The Loser" in between the two showings, and he was finally done. For now. Now I get FOUR eps tomorrow, and more of his commentary.
There's way too much to relay here, but if for the commentary alone, any RC fan HAS to have these two discs. Well, any RC fan would want them any way.
I saw this show originally, as a wee lass, and this is the first time I've seen him as Kelly in my conscious memory, and all I can say is Oh My Gawd. I'd love to belt some commentator about GAH that Culp is "recreating his role" of Kelly Robinson in the way he portrays Bill Maxwell. That's b.s., Kelly and Bill barely had any similarities, it was kinda eerie, I kept having to remind myself this was Robert Culp, he's that good. A few times, it was like seeing Bill, but that's forgiveable.
I'm going to be going screencap CRAZY in a couple days, when I hopefully watch these on sister's laptop and get shots to post in the Robert Culp livejournal community, and my LJ too.
MrsM and my fellow Bill/Robert fans: You're gonna die... some of those shots, WHOO, esp from "The Tiger," when he's wearing that flightsuit. I'm swooning.
