I read on IMDB some time ago that William Katt is 5'11", and Robert Culp is 6'2". Now IMDB is saying Katt is only 5' 8 1/2" tall! Is that true?? Culp is obviously taller, but not by 5.5 inches! I can't imagine Katt is only two inches taller than I am.
Modification: Hmmm, maybe Culp IS that much taller! In the awesome scene ending "Who's Woo in America," Culp does look a lot taller than Katt, more than three inches certainly. Maybe it's all done with mirrors, I dunno.
That's rapidly becoming one of my favorite scenes of the series, but then when I compare to the three I chose for Season Two, well... it's still no O:SS, Beast in the Black or Lost Diablo with Harlan. Very very close, though.

Well, if my 'Suit' is authentic, then I'd go with the 5'8 1/2" number. Not sure about Culp though, but I'd say he's right around 6 ft if I had to guess - I could see a 4 inch-ish difference, I suppose.

Sometimes Bill looks a lot taller than Ralph...like he does in some of your pictures from SATURDAY NIGHT ON SUNSET BOULEVARD...but other times, the difference looks very minor. Maybe he had lifts he forgot to put in. Or maybe Katt has shrank over time...that is what happened to my dad.

I believe that Katt is 5' 8 1/2", mainly because I've seen him in enough programs (other than GAH) to compare with other actors... namely Richard Moll, who's *very* tall, in "House." And here's a little proof...

Richard Moll is super tall though.

Richard Moll is super tall though. That's almost what I said, just before reading your reply: Yeah, but Richard Moll is VERY very tall. I believe Culp's 6'2" actually. You can tell in "I Spy", it's a bit more obvious cuz he's so slender, and those legs go on forever and... and.... okay, I'll stop I dig tall.

Most short people do. I am 6'6" and when in college, most of the girls that WANTED to date me were under 5'5", which was so weird.

Hmmmm, 6'6", huh? You married? Son's dad is 6'5", whew. My exhubby is 6'4". OK, but there're some advantages to being near the same height, heh. Going a wee bit OT here I think. I'm hiding.

Nope...not married. From what I have heard, having a shorter woman can be just as...advantageous.

Midget. I know! That's why I need a stool to stand on when I reach into the drive-up drawer at work. Being short & a teller is not a good combination.

You gave me a great idea for a caption, Lauren.

Very very close, though. The thing is, Katt just doesn't look like he is short, even though he is on the short side for a White Anglo American male. He is well proportioned and just doesn't look like he is only around 5'8. The thing is that Connie is listed at 5'9, and she never came across as being taller then Katt. But I don't think she ever wore high heels. Sometimes when women 3 inches shorter then me wear heels, they all of a sudden can become an inch or two inches taller then me. I don't like it when women wear really big heels, for that reason. You guys don't need to be that tall. -scenario-

I think it is funny to see really short women in high heels...they rarely approach my height and it is fun to see them wobble when walking. I agree that they don't need to do it, but if it is funny, why stop them? And I think that is a subtle aspect I liked about Pam. She did not dress like a tramp and when she did wear heels and such, they were not super noticeable.
