OK, I've been checking out the list of Michael Pare's DVD's available through Netflix. Looks as if most of them have really bad reviews. With that being said, I'm gonna rent them anyway. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which ones to rent first? (I already have Eddie & the Cruisers I & II, Philadelphia Experiment, and Streets of Fire).

You know, just out of curiosity, I went to IMDB and looked Michael up... would you believe he's older than I, by almost THREE YEARS?? Whoa! Now I CAN lust on Tony when I watch the show, lol, seeing as I was 20-22 when GAH was out, so obviously he was older than that. And playing a high school kid, go figure. Eh, no denying he was and is a hottie... but Bill's da Man, after all's said and done

THATGIRL would be your best source for Pare information on his best DVDs and such...especially since she has a website devoted to him.

Thanks houdiniderek! That's very true!
Yes, some of the movies were stinkers, but his reviews are always good. There is information and screenshots from most of his movies at my site. I had to change proboards sites a few months ago, and am still catching up on getting the pics posted again. But, a lot is already there. "Merchant of Death" is pretty good. Also "Instant Justice", and "Solar Force".
"Into the Sun" is great, but not on DVD yet. Actually, I put it on DVD myself so I could make screenshots, but it's not been done commercially. I love "Midnight Heat". Dennis Hopper is in that one with him, and Charlie Schlatter also. That is one of the really good ones, IMO.
He is absolutely gorgeous in Spanish Rose, but don't play it with any children around. It's very...um...well, he and Barbara Carrera seem to really get into the love scenes! LOL!
Well, just take a look and browse. Some of his later movies are real tear-jerkers.
Don't bother with "2103-The Deadly Wake". It is the worst of the worst!

You mean Pare has one movie worse than the rest? I find that hard to believe.

A few are pretty bad. On some, he didn't even get to see the script until he was already on the set. Some of them are really good, though. Houston Knights was good, also.

You make excuses for him and his bad acting all you want.
