Well, sorta. I got the address for the theater where the play was going on & promptly mailed a letter, picture to be signed, & two pics of myself in my jammies along with a SASE. Today, I got the whole thing back. And here's the picture I sent to be autographed: Then, lo & behold, as I pulled everything else out of the envelope, I found this: And this: Have I mentioned that I love this man?

Great pics Lauren, and too cool. I like the fact he signed them all for you as well. (You know, I wish I had thought of that myself, oh well. )

This actually wasn't the first time I've tried this particular idea. I've done the same with two other celebrities & had positive results for both of those, too. And thank you, Mel.

So, who else have you done this for? My guess would be a couple of the Monkees, especially Micky as you've met him before. Still, you've helped out a lot of us on how to send fanmail to our favorite actors. Quite honestly, for a CE and writer at times, it's one of the few styles I didn't know how to write properly.

Micky Dolenz, as you guessed, & Mark Linn-Baker (of "Perfect Strangers"). As far as fan letters go... I like to give just enough info to let them know that I really do know something about them & am not just autograph hunting. (Which is why for Katt, I mentioned his album.) And I like the idea of sending the mail to theaters because, frankly, you don't have to deal with the celebrity's agent/agency, which can take forever. I have noticed, though, that the mail doesn't get a response until after the production is over (for safety reasons, I presume).

Wait until you read the screencaps. He's back to his dry witty sense of humor, which is missed from time to time. (wonder what he's going to think of my story with Pam in the Middle Ages...)

OK, you wanna know what the real travesty is? I LIVE in Jupiter... I've BEEN to performances at the Maltz Jupiter Theater... I was EXCTATIC when I heard Katt was coming to town... But do I get to go to the performance, and meet one of my TV heroes? NO... I, am up in BOSTON, undergoing a cardiac procedure, to repair a faulty artifical heart valve. The good news is, everything went well, and I'm currently staying in Vermont, feeling like a new man... ....but opportunity lost is opportunity lost

I wonder if this idea would work for people like Connie and Faye...and I guess, Maxwell. The hardest part seems to be getting a real address to send them stuff.

Frankly, I think you're better off with any address BUT an agency address. That's why finding actors at a theater works. Your request will go right to them instead of getting handed to person who "handles" that sort of thing.
