OK, I know this is going to sound very weird, but I was listening to a "Simpsons: The Movie" trailer on TV and I could've sworn I heard Robert Culp voicing a character. This character was a man in a suit with a rifle.
I have tried IMDB and a few other places I know to test it, but no mention (admittedly IMDB should sometimes have a different meaning to the acronym), but the character's voice had that unique timber he has.
All I remember about the bit was Bart and Homer were in a face off with the guy and they claim they're looking for treasure. The guy says "What treasure," and Bart says "Ima Weiner's" treasure, which the guy repeats.
While I say this, bear in mind my hearing can be shoddy at times if I'm focused on a jewelry project, which in this case I was. If it's true though, it'd be neat because they'd have him in another iconic show.

I imagine it would be listed on the internet somewhere if he was voicing a character. But, it might not be released until the movie is too. You might try back later.

Guess we all can keep an open ear out for the commercial too. Will tonight while I'm working on my room, but hopefully I won't find Paula or the Davidsons in there... Now I've got the Irish Drinking song game in my head...

I probably won't as I don't care about the SIMPSONS.

I've checked and can't find Culp associated with the movie at all. IMDB has the whole cast and he's not listed.
Too bad!

Mona They've said too though that there's some that are in the movie but aren't listed, such as celebrities. While I could be wrong, I really think I heard his voice in the commercial. His voice is one of the few unique ones out there, and I am pretty sure that it was his voice. Just as a possibility: Because like WIKI fans give info to update the site, IMDB is sadly half the time inaccurate, and people sometimes don't get listed that should. Two examples: - Katt is listed as being in two eps that he's not in for "Gunsmoke." Ms B has watched these eps, and being a Katt fan she'd know. The only one listed of the three he is in is "The Tarnished Badge."
- Very good example here: Ross Martin, who Artemus Gordon in the original "Wild Wild West," is listed as appearing in a show in 1983 - neat trick as he died in 1981.
One other point (just basing it on present day - not my opinion), not many of the target audience for this show know who Culp is, so it's possible he's not listed on IMDB because of that but did voice a character. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Like I said, we will have to wait until is out and have someone go spy the ending credits for us. Or ask Culp the next time one of you see him.

I might see it only because I think it'd be interesting to see this show on the big screen. Did that with "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," and for the most part, was impressed (Mos Def as Ford was the exception). Would be interesting regardless, as I agree with one person on YouTube, this show is better than "American Dad." (My favorite cartoon on Fox aimed at the older audiences though is "King of the Hill" though).

Regardless, it could be Culp as several big-named actors/actresses have starred in the shows...maybe some signed up for the movie.

Yep, and I know some of them listed there are true, such as Tom Hanks appearing in it. "The Simpsons" though is a lot like "Doctor Who" in the UK: So popular it's an honor to have it on your resume it seems. (Personal tastes aside of course. )

MACGYVER starred in it too. I remember that episode... it was way too funny. It's probably one of my favorite episodes of "The Simpsons." One of my favorite openings they did was the live action one. That and trying to figure out what the scanner was saying each time the checker would scan Maggie (There's apparently a different message each time.)

Never saw much of the SIMPSONS because I didn't care for the bad humor, but I did watch the segment with Richard Dean Anderson.

I don't watch some of the ones from the late '90s to early '00s because of the humor, but since Janet Jackson's little *ahem* wardrobe malfunction (still don't believe it), it's been funnier because the FCC has some teeth again. In fact, I like "MAD" more because of that tightening of the reins. They're funnier because they don't rely on the crassness 100 percent of the time. IF you watch, say the UK version of "Whose Line" versus the US version, The UK is funnier because they're more restrained (Though admittedly they do allow some mild nudity in other shows.)

You just have no overall taste in TV.

You just have no overall taste in TV. True... I watch some educational, some comedy, some drama, and some that are just pure escapism. But, more often than not now if the TV's on at all... it's the 10 p.m. news, Leno show, a little bit of TV Land, and on Saturdays, "Saturday Night Live." It's not often I have it on in the evening nowadays, sometimes because of work but mostly because I just don't like a lot of today's shows.

I like some, but the SIMPSONS are not part of them. It's not my top favorite cartoon FOX produces though. My favorite's "King of the Hill," because I can relate to the characters there at times. Of course, that also might be because the creator is from Texas.

I don't have affiliations based on where I live...that is dumb. My cartoon choices are not on FOX, but hopefully on DVD some day.

I like the humor in "King of the Hill" because it deals with the true "problems in life:" job issues, sub teaching and corporal punishment ethics, etc. It feels more real than some shows on TV it seems.
