Don't most TV shows deal with "real" issues in some form or fashion?

Don't most TV shows deal with "real" issues in some form or fashion? Yes... but that one is closer to small town, Texas, than people think.

I believe it. I have seen small town Texas. Not that I think it is worthy of a show about it.

I've checked and can't find Culp associated with the movie at all. IMDB has the whole cast and he's not listed. Too bad! Mona I'm wondering if that actually is the WHOLE cast list on IMDb. Thing is, they've been trying to keep the cast & plot under wraps until the movie actually came out, which it did yesterday. I imagine more info will be turning up, along with any split-second cameos by celebrities.

Well, the NY Times review of The Simpson's plainly listed that there were very few celebrity cameos, and mentioned one or two of them. I think Culp would have been mentioned if he was in it.
I'm standing by my story that Culp, unfortunately, is not in the movie. Anyone seen it yet to verify or prove me wrong? I'm not much of a Simpson's fan myself.

I'll see it once it's out on DVD (in probably two months...). I'm not much of a movie goer (too expensive). If we don't get a definite by then, I can let everyone know.

Can't say as I noticed Culp's voice in the movie, but I did take the liberty of making this with the avatar creator at the movie's website. Bill Maxwell, ala Simpsons:

And, before anyone asks, yes, I did make a "Simpsons" avatar for Ralph, too:

Mona I understand we'll butt heads here, but I don't think Culp would be considered as big of a celebrity as say Tom Hanks nowadays, (IMHO he is a celebrity in his own right) so they'd probably not put his name in the review. To be fair, the reviewer might not have known who Culp is. Also, from experience, you're only allowed X amount of inches on the paper, so if it's a choice between say Hanks or Culp's name being cut so the article could fit in the newshole, a reporter will more than likely go with Hanks as he's easier to recognize in this day and age. There is a third option (which is sad) - He was in a scene which made it to commercial, but was not in the final cut of the movie. That happens too often and frankly irks me. And of course the fourth, which was I was mistaken. I haven't been able to see it yet, but I'm going to keep my ears peeled to either catch the commercial again (and then I'd probably know for sure) or fork over a few dollars to watch it on the screen when I can go to a matinee (cost here's too high right now unless I can manage to go to one).

Nice ones, JMan. What about Pam? And did you watch the credits to see if he might have been mentioned, JMan? Where are the dog biscuits?
