Another cool find of Katt from March of 1999 at Carpenter Square Theater in Oklahoma City, acting in a production of "I hate hamlet" I was kinda of skeptical it was him cause some of the pix in the production photo's (especially in make up ones) don't look like him. But sometimes that happens with makeup and theater. and the bio on the site says it is him and this blurb "*Mr. Katt appears through the courtesy of Actors' Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States" Main Page from show www.carpentersquare.com/shows/show_hamlet.htmPics of show www.geocities.com/donandphil.geo/hamlet_p1.htm

Hello, Nicol,
I sure agree that Katt in his "Barrymore" make-up did not look much like Katt, although the shots of him as himself rehearsing make it clear it IS him. Make-up IS amazing, wow; it can really change the looks of someone.
He, uh, not to upset folks, but, it seemed he had put on just a teensy bit of weight back then in 1999; nice little gut going there, it seems. Since I don't follow him or his career, does anyone know if he slimmed back down? Anyway, the set looked fantastic, didn't it? And that shot of him sitting in the chair as if he OWNED it was great, with the others around him. Very regal image.

This is from experience, in theater - local, high school, college and world-renowned ("TEXAS" - A Musical Drama). It's possible, given the role he's playing here, that they wanted him to be a little heftier. And, everyone does gain a little weight as they get older, but some can keep trim looking. I didn't notice he had a "little gut going there" but that's just me. He's slimmed down since and while he is a little heavier build than when we first see him in GAH, he does still look great. Just wish he was in more things that had his hair shorter, as he looks younger with shorter hair. I do agree though, the scenes he's in he does command the stage. Would've been neat to see him in the play (or any he's done before and after. He seems to be one of the few actors who can do everything though: Theater, film, TV, directing, etc.

In most of the Photos and films from that time frame, you see he did gain some weight but not overly gain and didn't look bad. unlike some actors who do gain and look really bad. But like Mel said he has since slimmed down and I argree with mel on the long hair bit in recent movies. Plus i think it was the clothes too. anohter thing looking at teh pics below and the ones on that site I would never have guesed his age, he certainly to me doesn't look to be in his late 40's in those pics. anyway below is a picture taken around that time from the movie learning to Surf. Of course this is one my favorite pic, plus the one Lauren has for her icon (the one of him laughing).
