The only soap opera that has truly stinked was "Passions," which is thankfully gone from network TV. Back in the first few years, it was good, then the actor who played Timmy died, and it went downhill from there. Most underrated soap that could come back - "Dark Shadows," but I hope not, as trying to top it would jump the shark. Passions was great. Tabitha and Timmy made the show(and was the only reason to watch it), but like you said it's gone downhill big time. I miss all the witchcraft, bad cgi, disaster type stories they had on that soap. As for Dark Shadows, they did try to bring that back as a series, but I think it only lasted a week and they didn't resolve the story where the one female character that came back to present time finding out that Barnabas was still alive. You replied while I was typing. My riiiight is directed at Mel, not you.

I totally agree with you on Passions. If it wasn't the Ethan/Theresa/Gwen triangle with their families, I think it'd been better. It seemed to pretty much go that way, with the occasional Luis/Sheridan/Beth triangle and Kay/Miguel/Charity case thrown in. But, I can see why Dark Shadows didn't work based on that setting. Worked best in Gothic/Victorian times.

Also... you're right Ms B... that Marci would take first prize from the man himself in a William Shatner as James T. Kirk impersonation contest. I think Mary Ellen Stuart could've done the role better justice (and yes, I'm serious, she's a better actor. )

Just for kicks, I searched YouTube, and found a clip from the actual movie, not the trailers: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kONdFgqB7ac&feature=relatedThe idea's not bad; however, Katt is the only one who is believable in the whole shebang. I can see why this might be a movie he was embarrassed to be in.

I can say that WK saw it. He commented on it to me. So...for those of you who haven't seen it. youtube.com/watch?v=oMca-iimpHcAnd Jo You've seen it so don't wet again.

Yep, as I said - that Marci in the movie paled in comparison to your interpretation. Maybe, however, the lip gloss bit was to reflect the performance - off. :-\ It's one of those shows I go "Poor Katt and Dedee Pfieffer, they really must've needed the money at the moment" because it's really bad. It's also why I said that if I spend the money, I'm going to go get "Man From Earth" first.

Ok, so I've found a copy of the AvH DVD for sale online for $15.85. Is it worth my while spending that, plus postage, for Katt's performance? Or is the movie so crap that I shouldn't bother? Feel the love. dolfyn.

Feel the love. dolfyn. I don't have it so I can't give my entire opinion. That said, what little I've seen Katt's good - the other actors iffy. It reminds me a bit of "The Bone Eater," a SciFi movie Katt was in where the monster was bad - but most of the acting there was believable. The clip I posted above on this page is pretty good as far as giving an analysis on it. There's another clip - sans our esteemed (and better actress) Ms B (Marci) on YouTube. Just search "William Katt" - with the quotations, and it should be on the second or third page. (I say the quotes because otherwise you will also get comedian Katt Williams as well, whom I will say is a bit... interesting, in his jokes. Personally don't like him myself).

Yeah, I have seen all those clips on YouTube (including Ms B's). The quality of the production looks pretty poor, but the snippets of Mr Katt's performance showed him acting his little heart out, as always. I think I'll have to ponder on this one. I also found Stranger By Night (DVD, $3.98), & on UK Amazon I found Last Call (VHS tape, converts to approx $30), Big Wednesday (VHS, approx $3) & Snake Island (DVD, approx $15). Any advice on those too? Feel the love. dolfyn.

"Big Wednesday" is a must-have, hands down. The others... are interesting. "Stranger By Night" actually has a really good story to it, so I'd make this on second. It's a toss up between the other two: "Last Call" has quite a bit of sex in it while "Snake Island" has lots of gore (& one topless moment). If you can get around that stuff, both do have decent stories & are worth checking out, at some point, at least. I currently have AVH is my Amazon cart.

Gore doesn't bother me too much, as long as it's not really nasty & serious. If it's done in a funny or cartoonish sort of way, it's fine. (Like in House. That movie made me laugh!) Sex scenes aren't too much of a problem, as long as that's not all there is in the film! (Do the sex scenes involve Mr Katt, at all?) hehee. Well, I guess my credit card's going to be getting another work-out in the very near future! I'm currently awaiting the arrival of Baby & Pippin. I only just received my House DVD last week & I've already watched it several times (including with the commentary.) I'm having my own little Katt film-fest! ;D Feel the love. dolfyn.

The sex scenes are my favorite! Bahahaha! Nice. ;D I just arrived home from work, to find my copy of Baby waiting for me in my mailbox. Even though I've seen it many times before, having had a dodgy taped-off-TV video of it, I'm going to watch it now in lovely clear DVD crispness. Aahhh, nostalgia with Katt. Feel the love. dolfyn.

It's a good quality - not the sharpest of all, but it's worth the money. Haven't seen any of the more risque movies, so I can't really say much about them (And... Marci has said that I'd best not watch "Naked Obsession" right now. Might be a good thing based on the trailer I've seen online of it. )

Take it to the Katt board. OK, so should we take it to the smut board too? We can't take it to the billboard - we keep crashing into it.

Either Katt or Smut. It would be dumb to go to the Bill board.

Either Katt or Smut. It would be dumb to go to the Bill board. But Katt's first name is Bill. So, I ended up ordering the following: Snake Island, Big Wednesday, Butch & Sundance (I found it! heeee!), all from UK Amazon. Last Call & Stranger By Night, the orders wouldn't go through for some reason. It kept telling me there was a problem with the order, but didn't specify what! Frustrating! Grrrr! I still haven't decided whether AvH is worth the money.... Feel the love. dolfyn. ;D
