Looks like a wax figure of Katt. I think it's a neat shot, and Katt worked so much better with the cast in the movies than William Moses IMHO. Some might say that it's because his mom was in it, but I disagree. He's a better foil for Mason.

I would say that you said it because you have the hots for him.

I would say that you said it because you have the hots for him. No - have you even seen Moses' character? He's wooden and at times more of a parody to Katt's Paul Drake. He doesn't bring his own character to the show, and just falls flat to me. Those movies I do watch Hale and Burr only - not Moses because he doesn't fit in as well. Katt IMHO, I feel as though Drake, Mason and Street have been together since the '60s series (which of course is impossible given Drake's age). The camaraderie is better maintained.

You think that everytime Katt is in something: He makes the chemistry better. He is not the perfect actor so it can't be true all of the time.

I have disliked his acting in several appearances in shows, including "Diagnosis Murder," "Snake Island," and "Deadly Game." I've never said he was perfect anymore than Culp or Connie, but I do think here he is the better of the two sidekicks they used in the "Mason" series. Besides, it's IMHO only.

Like father, like son, right? Guess that explains why I'd rather watch the TV movies with Katt in them than the ones with Moses. Or maybe, now that I've mentioned it, it's because Paul Jr. was a PI like his father, whereas Ken Malansky was an attorney. The "Law" as opposed to the "Order," for lack of a better analogy, I feel was more fun to watch. (On the other hand, I don't think I've ever seen Katt with hair that short! Guess it was around the time he filmed GAHeroine?)

MATLOCK is better than Perry Mason.

MATLOCK is better than Perry Mason. I like both, and both versions (TV series and TV movies). Sometimes I will go by a hotdog stand and laugh, given Matlock always seemed to want to go to one a lot. I know of one place here he'd love, but it's closed down for the winter given the seating's outdoors.

That's a good pic. Can anyone tell me where I could get my hands on the Perry Mason movies that feature WK? *flutters eyelashes* Feel the love. dolfyn. ;D No DVD releases - at least of yet. You'd think they'd do one or two however given that "Perry Mason" was a popular show and still gets a regular run on networks such as Hallmark and Court TV. We might get lucky though - the original series is being released here in the states, but I don't know about in Australia yet. Your best bet will be to check IMDB at times to see if it's airing in your area. He's in several of the movies, which are listed below: - Perry Mason Returns
- Perry Mason: The Case of the Shooting Star
- Perry Mason: The Case of the Notorious Nun
- Perry Mason: The Case of the Scandalous Scoundrel
- Perry Mason: The Case of the Murdered Madam
- Perry Mason: The Case of the Sinister Spirit
- Perry Mason: The Case of the Lost Love
- Perry Mason: The Case of the Lady in the Lake
- Perry Mason: The Case of the Avenging Ace
You'll have to be a bit careful though in looking at the credits too - his replacement was William Moses of "Falcon Crest" fame, though IMHO, Katt is much better in these movies than Moses was. (I don't say that as a fan of Katt's either - Moses is way too wooden in them in my opinion. )

Thanks for the info, Mel. Wow, Katt did 9 of them? I think they were shown here back in the '80s, I just can't remember really watching them or seeing WK. I don't think I'll ever see them on Aussie TV now, as they're pretty unlikely to be shown on free-to-air TV (public TV), & I don't have Pay TV (cable) because it's far to expensive. I'm sure I'll get hold of them somehow, someday. I can be quite determined & resourceful when I really want to collect something like that. ;D Feel the love. dolfyn.

Yep, nine - which is part of the reason, based on the interview he did in Boston, why he turned down doing "GAH" again in 1986 - even being guaranteed I think three years. Then again, between the fact the show would've been aired around the watershed time (meaning toned down a lot since that was family hour), and Connie was unavailable to continue as Pam due to being in "Hotel" and ABC not wanting to share her with NBC, I can understand that being another reason to not do it. Though, I'd much rather had Katt in all the Mason movies over Moses coming in there. Haven't yet been able to make it through a movie that has Moses in it - his performance just turns me off on the story. Plus, regardless that Hale is Katt's mom, there was a chemistry between Katt, Burr and Hale that really showed in those movies that Moses didn't quite match.

CourtTV (sic) was running them a few years ago & I managed to snag them there... well, all but ONE. *grumble, grumble*
I have a feeling they may pop up again somewhere, either on TV or maybe even online! Of course, there's always eBay, as well.
