This was originally posted on the old board, but I thought it should be repeated here. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After viewing the enitre 1st season set, I can say it's highly recommended. Sure a few covers have been replaced, do most of these changes effect the scenes they occur in? Yes, does it effect the overall impact of the series itself? NO!!!! I have the episodes I originally recorded from ABC. Plus the 80's syndication and FX run. Some KDOC-TV uncut episodes, and the airings from Showcase Action in Canada. Even after owning all of that material for years, it's nothing like the quality of this box set! Most people have only DREAMED of owning high quality prints like these. Not mention the 75 minutes worth of interviews AND adding the unsold TGAHeroine pilot to the mix! Plus the price is VERY affordable. The guys and gals at Anchor Bay put alot of effort into this release, and it shows. I congratulate SJC Productions and Anchor Bay for putting together a great package of material!

The set is a must-have, but as I said on the previous board, while the song replacements *may* have been financially necessary (although the set seems to be doing extremely well at all the online sites, and cover versions NEVER cost as much as using original recordings), I feel they did a fairly sloppy job with the replacements, with that godawful tune inserted into the pilot poorly, and sounding like late 90s Bon Jovi. Really, use one of the Scarbury originals or just some instrumental music, like they did at other points on the set. So while there is kudos, there is room for improvement. I think the rescoring job was acceptable in some spots, and definitely subpar in others. But the picture image and extras are definitely of high quality.
