japanese audio track...on one episode..what the pluck for!?! ;D THANK YOU. And I agree. And that's a great question about the amount of DVDs and the amount of episodes. Normally, without using too much compression, you can only fit 3 per DVD - like they did with season one. Sounds like they may have kicked the compression up a notch to squeeze in an extra episode on each DVD. Normally, that would mean a loss in picture quality. That may or may not be the case here, as we're only talking about an 80's TV show as the 'original source'. I CAN tell you, the Japanese DVDs only contain 3 episodes per DVD (with only Japanese language and Japanese sub-titles being the 'extras') and there's a lot of 'free room' on the DVDs as they were produced, so it's quite possible, with the proper compression, that they might be able to fit 4 episodes per DVD with no noticable loss. Guess we'll see...

Is it possible they are double-sided DVDs, rather than single, and maybe that's how they fit so many? My Miami Vice Season 1 DVD set has three double sided DVDs in it. The first disc has the pilot and one episode on the A side, and all of the bonus materials on the B side. The other two dvds have four episodes per side.

Okay, now I am slightly worried. . .if they cut out "Eve of Destruction" in Operation: Spoilsport, that's gonna suck. Seriously. Because that's part of the freakin' drama, man. Cause in one scene, remember, Bill's sneaking into the office to use one of the computers to check on something, and Ralph's in the car and the song's on the radio. You hear: "You're old enough to kill, but not for votin', you don't believe in war, but what's that gun you're totin'. . ." then Ralph hits the dash and screams, "I'M DOING THE BEST I CAN!!!!!!". . .without that song, which is crucial, it's. . .IT'S JUST WRONG, I'M TELLING YA!!!

Screw the "Eve of Destruction".
I'd much rather have this song playing as Ralph sits in the car and the military zero in on Bill while he hacks into their computer----
"Don't think that THIS....is....NOT...your town! The things you hold dear....can NOT...be FOUND!"

That song is just so integral to the plot, I can't see them not ponying up the cash for that one.

I agree! I love the scene where Ralph is sitting in the car and the radio turns on and the green guys dedicate the song to Ralph. During the song, after the lyrics "YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN WAR, SO WHAT'S THAT GUN YOUR TOTING" Ralph hits the radio and says "I'm doing the best I can". One of my favorites!!! I just purchased season two and three from a member who has uncut copies because I didn't want to miss any of the songs. I have a feeling they are going to cut them again in the Season 2 set like they did for Season 1.
I just joined this site and have loved this show since I was 12. My friends thought I was crazy when I told them I watched the show and now even have it on DVD. I love the chemistry between the characters and the comedy.

Welcome to the board Ilana! Good to see the female fans of the series speaking out. I've only personally known a few women who liked the series. Glad to see the female fanbase growing.

yeah...there's no way I'd consider dating someone that doesn't like The Greatest American Hero... tried that before and it never works. Hey I figure if they think the show is dopey and lame, then so are they.

Agreed. And yes, she must like G.A.H. Or at least allow me to torment her with it often if she doesn't.
