Finally watched the Culp interview yesterday. I had NO idea he referred to the scene from The Hit Car the same way I have always thought of it - that there was some brief sexual tension there in the scene between him and Pam in the kitchen of the house they stay over at. That really thrilled me to hear that. Culp is sooooooo cool.

One thing kind of surprised me though. He mentioned that he wondered why "Bill" never made a pass at "Pam". Isn't the answer because "Bill" was an honorable guy, and respected "Ralph's" relationship?

That's what I thought too. Why would a guy make a pass at his friend/partners's girlfriend? Bill was arrogant and a harda** at times, but he was never a complete jackass to do something like that. Surely Pam would tell Ralph if Bill did make a pass at her right? I never did pick up sexual tension in that scene from The Hit Car. I did find it an awkward moment and I suppose that was the sexual tension. -scenario-

Yes, I also thought of it more as an uneasy alliance forming, rather than romantic interest; a kind of reluctant acceptance of each other's possible value.

Would have been interesting to see an episode where the two find themselves in a situation where they realize they're attracted to each other. Ah, if only ABC would have left the show alone a little while longer. Culp sounded so disappointed in the interview that he never had a chance to do more with Maxwell. Shame...

I'm sure Bill went home on many nights, laying in bed and thinking about that great dame the Counselor...he told her she was pretty in the Pilot episode afterall.
But I don't know exactly why Pam would ever be attracted to Bill? He's got a lot of bad boy element to him sure, but he's also 20-25 years older then her and acts like a boorish jerk so many times.

Maybe Pam should have hooked up with Tony. Would have LOVED to seen Rhonda's reaction to THAT.

She would probably have loved it...leaves Ralph wide open for her. Maybe Pam and Cyler.
