This has always been one of my favorite episodes. I also agree with many of the posts above. I actually liked the hard ass/angry Ralph after he hit the train. I really also loved the montage at the end. It has always given me warm fuzzies. Yeah I thought they did a good job of differentiating amnesia Ralph and normal Ralph actually. You have to because you want the audience to get nervous about the character never "coming back." And yes the montage is really sweet. I like how they went to the trouble of actually finding a shot with Pam on Ralph's left and Bill on his right during the corresponding lyrics, hehe. And you have to look at it from the perspective of the show's first audience. If they wanted to see older episodes, they mostly had to wait until ABC decided to re-air them. So it would have been really cool to harken back and see how the characters have changed.

The angry Ralph was a bit more like the Ralph we met in the pilot:
"I'll turn you into a hundred and seventy pounds of dog chow, now you call me in a couple of days, that's the drill"
Or the Ralph that while invisible slams his fist down on the hood of Bill's car in Here's Looking at You, Kid.
Plus like the "Dammit I'm going to call the shots" speech in the alley from Saturday on Sunset BLVD.
After the first season we didn't see much of that. Nice to see it in Train of Thought. He also came out swinging with the "...and I don't recall neglecting you" line to Pam from This is The One The Suit Was Meant For.
Nice moments instead of being just a "nice" guy.

The angry Ralph was a bit more like the Ralph we met in the pilot You know I had thought that before but I wasn't sure if I was right. So thanks for the support, I do agree, lol. Yeah that why I always thought it was a great move to cast someone who was initially so embarrassed and annoyed at taking the role. I feel like it was great motivation for the character, so Ralph wasn't just a boring goody goody.
