At least the folowing episodes should be completely unaltered: The 200-Mile-an-Hour Fastball The Beast in the Black The Lost Diablo Plague Train of Thought Now You See It The Hand-Painted Thai Just Another Three-Ring Circus The Shock Will Kill You A Chicken in Every Plot It's All Downhill From Here Captain Bellybuster and the Speed Factory Who's Woo in America Lilacs, Mr. Maxwell
Not sure about Dreams. The song was written by Geyer, but I think it was published elsewhere before its use on GAH.
That's at least 14 episodes that should be completely unabridged. 14/22. Approximately 2/3 of the season will be un-F'ed up.
OK, you can all start attacking me now...

Dreams should be fine. From what I've heard, it sounds like Cannell owns pretty much the same amount of rights to that songs as he does the other songs Geyer wrote for the show.
Money, money, money... I could just PUKE.

No problem. Hey, the title I chose for this thread just reminded me of something. When they release the Debbie Harry episodes of "Wiseguy", what's going to happen to songs like "Looking on the Bright Side"?

And "Season Three" should be Heaven on Earth. Only two cover tunes to be removed, and they really aren't anywhere near as vital as the "Season One" and "Season Two" covers we've been talking about.

If Universal can track down and purchase the rights to all of the songs for the Miami Vice release on DVD, granted that was a much more popular show, then I don't see why Cannell couldn't just spend a little extra money for remade cover songs. They couldn't have been that expensive considering they were not original but remakes. What a letdown for the true fans of this show.

What a letdown for the true fans of this show. Think back at the Heroine episode: that awful Houston song was for those ProdExecs probably more important than EveOfDestruction. Paying that woman $,$$$ for a song of an episode almost unaired (read=where a song or a plain jingle would make no difference) is really stupid! Why not use home-played classical music instead then: no copyright on that! [ps: I had to put it on mute during that scene]

See what BeastInTheBlack said above. 100% perfect. I can not add any more to it.

To clarify, Houston wouldn't get paid a cent for the use of the song -- she didn't write it (that's why cover versions are often involved, they are MUCH cheaper than using original copies)...why they didn't remove that and did remove "EVE" is a head-scratcher, though...

yes but for what it's worth they must have paid some money to keep it (to the record co. for example)..
