I JUST got mine in the mail like 15 mins ago. Threw in Operation Spoilsport just in case the posts were all April Fools jokes. No cover tunes at all. I'm disappointed, yet the picture quality is so AWESOME, I can almost forgive it. Almost. It's a mixed blessing. I'm glad to have such great quailty in the video, but the missing songs kind of tick me off. Oh, and that song they use in place of 'Eve of Destruction" is like a slow ballad - IMO it throws the pace of the scenes right off.

Agreed. Thanks, Cannell. Wait 24 years, and get The Greatest American Rip-Off. Grrr...

A lot of shows do this when released on tape or DVD. But GAH was different. It wasn't just music in the background. The cover tunes were PART of the show and gave the shows a special 'something'.
At least the songs from "Train.." and "Dreams" are still there.
The more I flip thru the episodes to check songs, the more I am falling in love with this show all over again.
And the picture quality is so stunning - I can't say that enough.
