I watched 3 more so far - Hog Wild, Classical Gas and Beast in the Black.
Hog Wild was actually a little better then I remember. They got around some cover songs by using the same one "Here Comes Trouble" instead of Bad Moon Rising, and it fit. See I wouldn't mind as much if they replaced the cover songs with songs that FIT and had the right TEMPO to match the scene (see 'Spoilsport'). The final song must have been a replacement as well but it was no big deal.
Classical Gas, while having most of the songs replaced, was not as much of a disaster as "Spoilsport".
The editing was kind of dopey and Rhonda's movements from behind in the actual concert you could tell was not matching up at all with the song they used. But it didn't totally ruin the episode.
Beast in the Black had no music to worry about and was a terrific episode. I actaully got a little scared when Ralph got attacked that first time by the beast.
The ironically funny thing is that the few episodes I happen to have uncut from ABC are the ones that have no cover songs. All the ones I have with cover songs are the cut versions from syndication.
