Now that I have all the Japanese DVD sets purchased (or on order), I thought I'd post a list of exactly which episodes are on each DVD, along with a sample picture of what the DVD artwork looks like. If anyone needs help obtaining these uncut (meaning 'original songs' - no replacement music) versions, just let me know and I'll be happy to assist. -Frank - kolchak@ameritech.net The list: [glow=red,2,900] DVD #1: The Hit Car Here's Looking at You Kid Saturday on Sunset Boulevard DVD #2: Reseda Rose My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys Fire Man DVD #3: The Best Desk Scenario The Two-Hundred-Mile-an-Hour Fastball Operation Spoil Sport DVD #4: Don't Mess Around With Jim Hog Wild Classical Gas DVD #5: The Beast in Black The Lost Diablo Plague DVD #6: Train Of Thought Now You See It The Hand-Painted Thai DVD #7: Just Another Three-Ring Circus The Shock Will Kill You A Chicken In Every Plot DVD #8: The Devil In The Deep Blue Sea It's All Downhill From Here Dreams DVD #9: There's Just No Accounting... That's cool then, thought they left it out for some reason. Wow, that DVD design is pretty awesome and with the episode titles on it too. Sigh, we really got ripped off.

Can you post a pic of one of the boxes so we can get REALLY depressed?
Thanks.

Is that William Katt in the last picture? It looks more like Mark Fidrych! (now there's an obscure reference!)

Yeah, they did a really nice job. Each Japanese DVD has different artwork (different picture of one of the main 3 cast members) and all are in either RED, WHITE or BLUE (a nice touch). Job well done.

Hey Maxwell - F.B.I., My girlfriends brother is going to Japan for a week in July and I wanted to get him to pick me up the Japanese sets. Will they run in R1 players? If not, is there a player here in the States that will play R2 discs? Are the discs that you have R1 or R2? I noticed that the Japanese discs seem to be released seperately rather than in a boxed set like we do here. Am I correct? Sorry for all of the questions but I am really starting to think about getting some of those Japanese sets. ;D

No, the Japanese DVDs will not run on region 1 only players unfortunately. In addition, they're quite expensive, running $110 for box #1 and $160 each for boxes #2 thru #5 (the Pilot runs around $60 by itself).
If you'd like more info, there's more to tell, and I'd be happy to help - just write to me at: kolchak@ameritech.net

What you could do is buy them, make a copy on DVD-R or DVD+R, which will region free. Then they will play in any DVD player that will play those formats.
