Maybe you could email them and ask for the boxes.

In response to the request for the teasers and episodes with the original music, the 'list' in the first post of this thread is how the DVDs would come, with the Pilot available on a separate disc by itself. Just F.Y.I.

Yup. I paid a little over $150 each when they first came out. I think they're still going for around that (a tad less these days) on the same site I purchased them from, so this price sounds about right. Ridiculous, eh?

Oh man, I'd love that set. They know how to spell the ep titles (No "Lilac's" or "Night"!), and the eps appear to be IN SEQUENCE! Wow! My only gripe was not including the Pilot, but I can understand their reasoning, saving it for last and making some extra bucks when folks clamor for it.

For whatever reason, the Pilot was treated differently over there, and mainly overseas in general - so it was released 'last'. But WHO CARES?!? It's UNCUT! WHOO-HOO! ;D

I read through this thread, and didn't see this... Are these discs in English? Or dubbed in japanese, hopefully with English subtitles?
Also, now that they've been out a while, is there any easier and cheaper way to score these? Now that I have a real job, and I'm hoping to get a real computer soon, I'd love to start getting the real discs (meaning original songs), and ideally put them on an iPod like MrsMaxwell has done (and I'm still seething with jealousy for it too).
As for the R1 vs R2, is that still the best solution? Burn them onto a DVD of my own, then they'll work in any player? I'm new to the whole DVD burning thing (well, not even new, I can't do it...yet).
Thanks for any info!

All the episodes are in English with no subtitles, but the menus are all in Japanese. Luckily the DVD starts playing the first episode automatically, so you don't have to figure out what the Japanese word for PLAY is. Jumping to a different episode is a little trickier, but not extremely complicated. I try not to experiment too much, for I'm afraid I'll accidently turn on the Japanese overdub or subtitles, and not be able to turn it off.
PM Frank-FBI. He knows a guy who knows a guy, etc, who can get the discs cheaper than amazon.jp

Yeah, I can definitely help. Regarding the DVDs, like has been posted, they do play fairly easily - with 3 eps per DVD and each episodes taking up 7 'chapters' on the DVD - so ep 2 on the DVD starts at chapter 8 and ep 3 starts at chapter 15. The menus (even though they are in Japanese) don't really get in the way - something I was worried about when I first got them. Turned out to be no big deal...
