Robert Rodriguez. He has the ability to cross genres. Look at the Spy Kids movies, Shark Boy & Lava Girl and what he is able to do on the grown up side with Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
What a great balance he could bring to this movie.
And for casting, Will Ferrell and Michael Chicklas

Bryan Singer would be my first choice. Second and third choices would be Joss Whedon and Kevin Smith.

I am pushing for Rod Holcomb if still working and alive. If not, Peter DeLuise. Great comedic ability in front of and behind the camera...I think he could keep the idea of the original show alive.

My vote would be for Joss Whedon to write and direct. He knows comedy, he knows superheroes. He's doing Wonder Woman right now, why not GAH after that?

Well who ever it is, they have to really know GAH and make sure the essence of the show is not lost. He needs vision of what WE want to see and not what the kids want to see. An example of what I mean is George Lucas put in jar jar to appeal to the younger audience. WE"RE the one who are going to take the kiddies to it. Star Wars is not meant to be romper room. and neither is GAH. I show ll the kids I sit for GAH from 6-11 yrs and they love it. If it's done right everyone will love it.

I still say Rod Holcomb since he started the series and directed some good episodes of it. If not, gotta go Peter Deluise. And Wonder Woman was a VASTLY different show than GAH, so he might direct it horribly.
