Tough choice. Mine Would Be Either Steven Spielberg Or Robert Zemeckis They're Both Great Directors.
Gah! I wouldnt want him directing either. He's an ok Director though but I rather have someone else but him Directing it.

Had no idea until just now, but you're right. Bryan Singer, director of The Usual Suspects, Apt Pupil and both X-Men movies. And the cast looks good!

Yeah, Routh definitely has the 'look' for Superman, and Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor? Hmmmm... this might be good...

I like some of the names I've read here. Good suggestions. I especially like Zemekis and Reitman. I think Speilberg would be a bit too sappy. I have to say that I think Jonathan Frakes would be a good choice to helm this project. I think a similar feel to Clockstoppers would fit these characters quite well.
Yes, Singer is doing the man of steel for Warner Bros. and Fox promptly fired him from X3, which is a huge mistake for Fox, especially if they plan to tackle Phoenix in the third film.

I wonder what Tarantino would do with it. LOL! Too brutal, I imagine, but what a sense of humor.

There's only ONE director who could do this movie right and not have all of us scratching our heads as we left the theatre --
STEVEN CHOW.
Not familar with his work - He's probably the best high concept, comedy director on the planet. Do yourself a favor - go on ebay and buy (the chinese versions/ english subtitled) SHAOLIN SOCCER and KUNG FU HUSTLE - If Chow were to do this - the movie would blow away the tv show.

I could see Tarantino directing a Sledge Hammer! movie (totally), but not sure about G.A.H.

I would have to give a big thumbs down to Jonathan Frakes. That man cannot act or direct.
Jay Roach of the Austen Powers and the Fokker movies would be a good choice.
My dream pick would be Peter Jackson but I cannot ever see that happening. Second dream pick would be Sam Raimi but with Spidey on his plate I cannot see him doing another similar picture.

Hey, I'm new here. Used to post all the time under different names, in the early days of this website. Just now signed into this one. Anyhow...
My dream director for a movie of my favorite superhero, would have to be Kevin Smith. I know he has a lot on his plate until Clerks 2 wraps production in the fall, but he's a superhero/TV fan, and I believe he can treat a screen version of GAH quite well.
