Awesome pic, Greenguy! For $20, I'd wear my suit out to pick up a pizza.

Cool costume and pic Greenguy. While I don't have a complete suit, I do wear my shirt to walkfests still. Already warned my parents I'm going to wear it to the next one we're all going to, and they chuckled and shook their head about it. For me, it's fun and my own version of a walkfest shirt, as I see several clubs wear theirs. Now trying to explain it, I get either a fond memory chuckle or "You can't be that old, so how do you know about it" type look. =============================== Lauren, if I had one, I'd wear the suit just about anywhere, but it wouldn't be the first time I've done something like that. I've also worn a "Wild Wild West" once to a Wal-Mart store one time. I had come from a talent show rehearsal, and that was the costume I wore for my juggling routine (which was the opening theme to the movie). There was a girl, probably 6, with her dad who was in the candy aisle when I walked down it. She told here dad "Daddy look, there's a girl dressed up as a cowgirl and she's wearing 'Wild Wild West' sunglasses." I still get a chuckle out of it to this day.

GG and Lauren, If I HAD a suit that fit and was similar to the ones used in GAH (and not HEROINE), I would wear it around for FREE all the time...maybe just to make my wife eye roll at me.

Only place I'd advise against it is at a walkfest... especially if you go to one with a hill that can be called a mountain. Only way up without stopping is if you run up it.

Have you noticed that everything is either about walkfest or juggling or photography with you? Some of us have OTHER interests? Besides most of us don't go on them, so that won't be the issue for me. GG and Lauren, If you feel like getting me a suit that would fit, I will wear it around and make videos and take pictures for you.

Yes, but conversely, there's some talents and hobbies you guys have that I don't follow. Now walkfests... there's one that goes to Disney World, and you get into all four parks, two nights in a park resort and the walkfest medal for $210. Not only that, you can do your walk then go play at the parks or do both at the same time. They aren't just walking up a hill and the like. And, I talk more about things other than those three and GAH. There's Foghorn Leghorn (or being a mascot in general), computer art, fanfiction, costume and set design (mostly on paper here though), and drawing. Then, there's my favorite, jewelrymaking (and yes, I made all of these): ================= And, when I get the chance to get the materials and such, I'm goign to try my hand at tatting. This case, it's how they make doilies and such.

Annnnnnnyway, great work on the suit, GG. Do you think whoever made that for you...or Lauren's mom might feel up to making me one...especially if I pay? I would gladly run around in it for this site.

And to get back OT, it'd be neat to see if the suit could ruin your life if you wore it for a day. It doesn't even have to be the whole suit showing... maybe the red long-sleeved tunic under a long sleeved shirt and pants during the summer (when most people are wearing short sleeved shirts to work), and such. I'd try it here wearing my shirt and jeans, but given my job, I'd probably read as a target for the sports balls (this case "Hit me.") ================== ETA: I thought Lauren said her mom probably wouldn't. Though, I don't see why a tailor/seamstress wouldn't take on the job, as it'd be a challenge (in a good way) to make one for someone who's 6'6" or so.

I knew my ears were ringing. I was actually being facetious about the $20 for wearing the suit around... I'd wear it anywhere for free. Though $20 sure wouldn't hurt. And, no, my mom has no interest in ever doing as much work as she did on my suit ever again. Sorry.

I had seen this thread, but hadn't actually read it I guess. Wow, huh? Nice suit, GG! You never looked that tall in your pictures. Of course, the suit you have wouldn't fit me even if I did steal it because it would be too small...I am almost 6'7." You should up that deal again with your son one weekend and do a Chelsea Cannell sort of spoof around town and post THAT here. Thanks for the good words about the suit! It's old now, but served the purpose of looking good when it was new. Jeez....6'7, I don't run into many people that I would have to look up to. That would be a riot to get him to walk around and ask people if they recognize the suit. However I don't think he would do it.....
