Got to hand it to Lauren and billswoman...not only do I have Pam pictures now, but I also have a picture and caption under my name...Thank you kindly, ladies. Weird question: Does everyone on here hate Cyler like the show did? A couple of pictures and no fans? Hmmmm.

I just like Ralph better.

Weird question: Does everyone on here hate Cyler like the show did? A couple of pictures and no fans? Hmmmm. You're welcome. As for the "weird question," nope, I don't hate Cyler... I just like Ralph better. Actually, I rather like Cyler; in fact, I think he's my favorite of the Hinkley Sweathogs (and let's face it, that's what they are.) I'm not too sure why Tony and Rhonda got more focus than Cyler and Rodriguez, to tell you the truth. They're certainly not better actors. I think the repartee from Cyler and Rodriguez can be pretty darned funny (eg, Rodriguez imitating Tony's accent and says to call the band Joisey Toinpike!) Or as I cited in another thread, Cyler's gentleness with Ralph after Bill "dies" in "Beast in the Black" is very good. Oh yeah, just remembered, when one of them, I think Cyler, yells out the bus window in "The Lost Diablo" "so where's the gold at??"

Also, when Cyler is up in Tony's face: Smooth move, Villacona.

I had no problem with Cyler, or the actor that played him (Jesse D. Goins?), that is until I saw him blow away Peter Weller at the beginning of Robocop. Nasty! Hey, I just thought of a new character for the series - Roboculp...

Nice. He could be the nemesis of Ralph and the suit. Cyler was the best of the kids, I agree, with Paco a close second. (And I am not counting the third season goofs or the first season Rhonda replacement). Third is Rhonda. Tony fourth and Chaffey rounding out the top five.

LOL@RoboCulp.... hmmm, sounds like a fanfic plot bunny to me! Cyler could be the mastermind behind the machine, with Paco as his trusty assistant.

And that will teach Ralph to give delinquents a great education.

billswoman, you should be in pictures...writing for sure...you have a lot of imagination. You know, what with Robert Culp being a published author himself (when he was 15, he had some short stories published) and an accomplished script-writer, I often wonder what he'd think of my fics featuring Bill so prominently. Esp my "Lilacs..."-oriented stories, seeing as he's the one who's creativity started it all. 'Course if he ever read the missing scene, I wouldn't wonder... I'd just die of embarrassment!

Why? Maybe he would love it a LOT.

That is a great line when he is talking about Starlet.

Yes, it was a good line, but it wasn't much of a deterrent to Ralph.

Well, that was the same episode where Bill hit on Pam ever-so-slightly, so who knows?

Well, that was the same episode where Bill hit on Pam ever-so-slightly, so who knows? I finally heard Culp talking about that in his commentary, and it was awesome. Hmmm... yet another plot bunny rising, although that'd be AU (of course). I think Culp thought Bill was more of a jerk than I do ("He's a colossal jerk!").

Yeah, I freaked when I heard that commentary/interview because I've ALWAYS thought he was sort of hitting on her in that episode - it was great to have him validate that! And I'd agree with Culp about Maxwell maybe in season one, but he was pretty much a big softy in seasons two and three!

A big softy to some degree, but I think that is because, as Culp noted, that he was trying to play on the vulnerabilities of Maxwell.
