I have to admit, I wasn't keeping up with the interactive thread, my b The recap that I believe MyTatuo did kinda threw me for a loop, it sounded so complicated and I couldn't really picture it happening, so I didn't want to jump in in the middle of it. Well, that'll teach us to write without an outline, I guess ;D Sad thing is, I wrote the first half of the summary straight from the thread. And, rereading it, I can see why anyone would be confused. I tend to use too many words to make a point (or the obverse, not make any sense at all ). The attempt at summarizing MyTatuo's move to help HD was from seven month's memory, and rereading it, is really confusing (and at points, incorrect). I only knew what I wanted to write because I had a long time to think about the next move. So, to help anyone who reads the story, I plan on rewriting the first summary to shorten it and include the other story moves post the spaceship meeting. And, if I write future summaries when a thread is restarted, remember to follow the KISS (keep it simple silly) philosophy.

well I think an award thing is a cool idea! We would have to pick one person to email our choices for whatever catagories we pick and atthe appointed time have them list the results. maybe we can have someone make a special avatar as a reward or something, depending on how far you want to take it. ...And showing off the latest in costume design...Ralph Hinkley!

I think we should duplicate what the Stargate Fan Awards site has, somewhat (I mean, I know we wouldn't have the same categories, more like the process).
Eg, list all the categories to be considered. A person needs to receive a minimum number of nominations to make the ballot at all (I think it's 3 on the SG site). Nominations are open for a set amount of time, NO exceptions, and once that time's past, there can be no additions. Once all the nominees are put in, they're all notified to see if they even want to be considered. The ones that do are listed when voting opens, and it's also open for a set amount of time, no exceptions. The admins on the SG awards site did it something like a Wednesday, go two weeks, then end on a Tuesday, giving folks a staggered amount of time (eg, if some work on weekends, or only get access to the 'net on certain days, stuff like that). They give out custom-made icons/banners to the winners to put up on their personal sites, but having a special mention on the board as I think a mod suggested would be cool too, for all the GAH fans to see.
Just an idea.

Just an idea. I think it's a good idea as well, billswoman. That way every one has a chance to vote. My case, the computer acts odd sometimes (still has sproatic amnesia), and with my work schedule keeps me at odds with times I can post (particularly this week, with Thanksgiving and early 'deads'). Right now, can't even work on the juggling routine until my NE comes back.

Well..... I was thinking, that if we made awards graphics (something to print out) I wouldn't mind donning my Jammies again & take pictures of myself "presenting" the award graphics.

MelMac, you should be honored, I laugh every time I see it, and knowing the quantity of HD's posts, I see it a LOT (note I didn't say QUALITY) Thanks a lot. I leave for two weeks and the Benedicts and Brutuses of the world come racing in for the kill. Oh...the horror! Et tu, Brute?
