It seems in the pilot, the book just slips out. After watching "Don't Mess Around..." and the fact that Beck went power mad with the suit, I wonder if the greenguys didn't make the book slip out as not to repeat that mistake?
And then by "Divorce..." they felt Ralph was ok and decided they could trust him with the book after all?
And then in "...Heroine" they lied when they told him there were no more books just in case his replacement might be tempted. A civilization THAT advanced and they haven't heard of backing up your files?
I know that's reading a LOT into the show, but I always wondered about the whole backstory of the suit and if they do this on other planets as well.
Like is Ralph part of a sort of 'Green Lantern Corp' where other beings on different planets were given suits for the same reason.

Probably. Like I said, I'm reading too much into it. But it's fun to think about.

GAH had more in common with the Green Lantern then Superman. But Green Lantern is a DC Comics character too, so they would have still sued if Cannell tried to argue that one.

I just watched that episose today Actually I thought that the episode seemed to be out of place. Would've thought that would've been more towards the end of the 2nd season or the 3rd season. Oh well...it was pretty interesting. It made more sense that he did not have the book. Because the same thing would've happened to them.
