Here's a new thread for Photobucket questions or requests.
Go wild.
***
What's wrong with right-clicking and copying the image name (or the Apple equivalent)?
This was made in reference to the captioning thread, which has been locked.
Indeed, I have been right clicking and copying photos here and there. I am the MAD MAD MAD photo thief of GAH.com. For anyone who has ever had one of their photos turned BW before their very eyes, you know what I mean.
However, it was so much easier to quote a post and have that link there already, IMHO, than having to right click, open photobucket, upload, copy, paste.
No one can call me lazy, since I do that a lot with my noir versions, but every once in a while it was nice to just hit quote and delete....
that's why I asked.

In MS Windows: 1. Right click the image, and choose Properties 2. Highlight the URL of the image 3. Press Ctrl-C 4. Close the Properties box 5. Hit "Reply" 6. Click the Image button 7. Insert the URL you've copied between the inside brackets that appear (Ctrl-V) 8. Post Reply Voila!

I usually save the pictures so I can use them again anyway without having to find the post, but this will be beneficial at times too. Thanks.

I guess I do Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V so often, it's like breathing. (Alt-Tab is too, switching between windows... )
I hate using the mouse, so I do so as little as possible, and learn short-cut keys whenever I can use them.

You know... if i had photoshop or it's equivalent, I'd be designing an avatar with a bucket with a hole in it. Then again... that's too literal.

What do you all use if you have a photo that is too big to be used as an avatar? How do you shrink it to the right size so it is not distorted? I tried using Photobucket's resize to avatar option, but it was still squashed.
Thanks.

I tried using Photobucket's resize to avatar option, but it was still squashed. Thanks. I have to take it out, open it up in an art program and resize it to 100X100 pixels. Or, you play around with the length/height pixels, neither maximum 100 length or 100 height.

Thanks, Lauren...I will have to try it and see if I can make it work. If not, you will help me, right? Sure. Actually, I'm sure you'll find that program very easy to work with, at least as far as resizing images. I use it all the time & it's a snap.
