For those of you that aren't interested in signing up at the moment, I thought it was unfair not to let you participate in voting on the chance to attend a GAH convention. Your voices should be heard too. My apologies for not thinking of this sooner. Feel free to make any comments/suggestions. Thanks!
Okay...I checked after posting the poll, and discovered that even though the poll is in the No Membership Required section, the board will NOT allow you to vote unless you are registered. So......in that case, ignore the poll at the top, and if your interested just respond here with a post if you would be interested in attending a GAH Con. Thanks!

I'd be interested in attending. I've never attended a convention before, even though I'm a big Star Wars fan, and sorta like Star Trek too. I'm a fan of a lot of other sci-fi and adventure TV as well. But I just could never bring myself to attend a convention before. But for GAH? Sure.
Over the years I've wondered if we would ever do such a thing. And it would be kinda cool to meet up and hang with you guys too. Especially after posting on the same boards since 1999.

I've always thought it couldn't happen, but with seeing how popular the season 1 set is, plus watching this site get around 7,000 hits since Jan. 26th, I'm starting to think anythings possible. Well within reason, it would never be like a Trek or Star Wars con...too bad. But it would be cool to hang out with you guys from the board.

If we could get at least 15 to 20 people from the board to show up, it would be an awesome thing. The number of members seems to be increasing every day.

The whole cost factor is the obstacle to get around. I have no idea what kind of cost would be involved to try and get the cast. But if we get enough responses I'll look into it.

^Wow, honestly I didn't even think about getting the actual cast to show up. I just figured it would be just a bunch of us just takin' it easy and shootin' the breeze about GAH and life.
If you could actually get the cast or one of the 3 main leads, that would be so AWESOME!! Your vision for this is certainly more grand and more proffesional then mine.

it was brought up in a thread up above, and heck if we were going to to it, we might as well "go for the gold" as Bill would say. I'd try contacting cast, crew, guest stars, etc.

I'd give my right arm to attend. However, the chances of my a.s.s flying to the left coast in next to impossible! If it was NYC I'd go. But We all know that aint happening!

I would love to attend, but timing, money, location, and agenda would all be a big factor. I would like to see as many people as possible from the show, but most would probably want some sort of compensation and that would make it tricky for the promoters and hard for people who did want to show up. Too bad we can't get it sponsored by someone. We should contact the studio who has the movie rights and tell them that a GAH convention would show how much interest is out there and it could bring back the original cast for input on the show or ideas about who could play the characters. If it was sponsored, that would cut through a lot of legwork and high prices, especially for those of us who might have to travel a ways.

I would definitely go if it were in the Bay Area, say the Concord Pavilion, the Sacramento Arco Arena, or even the HP Pavilion in San Jose... IF they get Michael Paré signed up for it. I loved all of the characters, but it would take Michael to get me to a convention!

I stand in line for two people, and that's it: Paul McCartney and Michael Paré. I don't have the patience otherwise! LOL!

This thread will remain in the Guest section to allow non-members to give their input, but I wanted to use this opportunity to announce a new sub-board (my goodness, there's like one new sub-board per week!) seattlekos (aka billswoman, illustrious founder of Culpalicious and ScenarioSlash, as well as the host of the FanFiction.net's Greatest American Hero forum, will be the new moderator of "The GAHthering" (working title), where she will plan out her GAH room party for RustyCon and/or NorWesCon, a Fanzine to pass out at the event, and if interest is great enough, perhaps even our own convention! (Look out, Palmdale, we're coming!) Please check out The GAHthering under Media/Web Coverage. Members are welcome to give suggestions there, and guest may continue to post thoughts below.
