Yes please email sideshow and get them to give us some gah....if you guys want i can make petition site for them to visit and monitor....you guys can all sign it... let me know if i should. [glow=blue,2,300]Sure! Petitions really work despite what others may say....I am a huge Masters of the Universe fan (He-Man) and over at www.he-man.org, we used a petition once so that Mattel would give the fans a few more figures before the newest action figure line went ca-poot. We got a couple of figs out of them before they quit! Every little bit helps! I figure if Electric-Tikki can license a GAH product like the maquette we just got last year, then a toy company could certainly aquire the rights for a few action figures! Hook us up Jason! -JC[/glow]

Yup I remember that. i work at TARGET. so i remember when he man went into clearence. then they got picked up at places like media play, suncoast. so i agree on that.
you see sideshow signs limited liscensing contracts and produces figs in 2000 production runs. crap! they will sell all those form here! and they will see that.
okay i will get to work on this petition. we will have it up in the next couple days. i would ask greenguy to do it but he already has hands full babysitting me here ;D .
how ever a nice little write up of our intentions would be welcome for me to post on the front page of the petition.

Seth Green was recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he mentioned an action figure set he paid a lot of money for with Ralph, Bill and some toy car that it came with. He said it's in mint , still in the box. Apparently he's a big GAH fan. We might be able to contact him through Cartoon Network website because he's doing a small show with someone for their Adult Swim called Robot Chicken.

Hey, hope it helped. I know the little GAH figures/car set are rare now, but anytime I want to chew my own guts out, I can just think back to when I was about 12, living in southern New Jersey, and seeing just a STACK of those box sets on clearance at a local store. Seems like they were there for months. At one point, they were, like, $1.99 a box. I liked the show, but hey, I was 12. I didn't play with action figures (that sound you hear is me kicking myself). Even after that I saw a shelf of em at some fly-by-night discount warehouse, and it was all the overstock from the K-Marts and Kay-Bees. And this was just one little podunk place in southern NJ, one among many. Those box sets NEVER appeared here. In fact it was a few years after the show was gone before I knew they existed. Had they been here for 1.99, I'd be sitting on a goldmine now. As I was in a habit of buying ridiculous amounts of tv toy clearance items back in the 80's....damn!

I believe the Seth Green appearance on Kimmel was on Thurs. Feb 17. I think I still have it on tape but I have no way to send it online (still on dial-up and no digital video camera). There may be a possiblity of getting a clip from the show itself if someone can find a direct email to the production staff.

Hey Greenguy, Not sure where you live, but I should have realized that the caprices of toy distributors were even crazier than then now. I just remember comparing notes with some people at one point years later and we all remembered seeing these box sets and kicking ourselves for NOT EVEN BUYING ONE! Aggh! I also had a friend in another state who used to talk about going to his local discount place and finding the coveted Wayne Foundation playset (another Mego toy) which I wanted in the worst way, but NEVER saw in my area. I could have killed him every time he talked about it. Hope I didn't engender that same reaction in you.

I was looking for TGAH items while the show was on. I was in high school during the shows run, so I was constantly on the go looking for TGAH stuff. When the kids t-shirts appeared it gave me hope items wee on the way..sadly that was not the case. In fact the Wayne Foundation never made it here as I recall. I never knew it existed until seeing it in a magazine a few years after Mego went under.

True Story.
My very first date happened because my step brother's girlfriend had a friend who wanted to go out with me, I was a fresh 13 and lived in a world filled with soccer, comics and of course GAH. I had no interest in the girl - but I agreed to go on a double date. We all met up at the mall and bought tickets to go see an old Burt Reynolds/ Goldie Hawn film called "BEST FRIENDS" -- We shuffled around the mall for a bit, killing time and the girls, acting like girls, toook off into Kay Bee to giggle at the Barbie dolls (that they now pretended to be "too old" for ) Any how as my brother was talking to me about how much this girl liked me - I spotted the GAH figure set at the end of the idle and FREAKED OUT.
My step brother, knowing damn well how much I lived for the show, pulled me to the side and BEGGED me not to buy them. He pleaded that not only would it ruin any chance I had with this girl, but could very well impact his chances with his girlfriend (who he had only been seeign for 2 weeks.) I was very apologetic - but there was NO WAY I was not going to buy two sets.
The girls watched in total confusion as I walked out of the store with my new toys - this was 1982 - you have to remember, no one collected toys yet, nor were "conventions" part of the lexicon - I must have looked like I belonged on the short bus. The girls asked my step brother - is he buying those for someone? My borther just shook his head in shame.
I still mad out with that girl in the movie -- not that it was a big accomplishment - she was pretty ugly. But I'd like to think I'd have bought the toys even if it was Jessica Alba with me that night.

You probably would have looked a little more "normal" if you HAD Jessica Alba with you when you were in the toy store: Jessica Alba was 1 yr old in 1982 :-)

Seth Green was recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live... Apparently he's a big GAH fan. Cool! When trying to think of who would be able to be a good successor to William Katt, as a modern day wearer of the suit, the first two guys I thought of were Matthew Lillard and Seth Green! I'd love to see Seth playing a character like his doctor from Up the Creek, with Tony as his FBI partner and Bill as the new local bureau head (with Carlisle still being Bill's boss)
