So, I started reading MaryAnne's latest chapter (I have it on my alerts, so I know when she updates!)...
I guess I have a question for her about the DOH part. Since I don't watch that show, I am a bit lost. Are these characters that you are talking about from that show, or your original characters? I guess it shouldn't matter, except it's always good to know why a character was written one way versus another - and if it's not your original character, that explains part of it.

Bill actually hasn't crossed paths with any DOH characters yet. LOL. The folks he's met in Atlanta thus far (Frank Mayson, Kenny Hygate) are my own original characters. Frank Mayson is a character from another series of stories that I've co-written and is an offshoot of DOH (or rather, an off shoot of some Coltrane lore. LOL). The series is called the Kin Series. Kenny Hygate is new to Crossfire. You'll know when Bill crosses paths with the Hazzard folk. Literally. LOL My hope is to not lose anybody with this blending of worlds (TGAH, DOH and original stuff) thus, all that background information on Mayson and the issues at the Atlanta FBI - pretty much the Kin Series condensed. LOL. I've tried to keep my audience in mind while writing this, knowing I would have TGAH folks and Dukes folks readin' this, each group possibly not familar with the other show, and also folks who have never read any of my other fiction series. So by all means, ask questions. I've appreciated the feedback I've gotten so far from you, Jo, and from Mona as well.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Crossovers are hard - REAL hard - to write. If you can get an audience that knows both fandoms enough to read, it's all good. But sometimes that's pretty hard to find, especially in the rare fandoms.
I've done a few crossovers, and they tend to be satirical more than anything. That's mainly since I feel that if no one but me "gets it" I still had a good time making fun of the fandoms and fan fiction in general.
You write really well, though, so hopefully it won't be lost on me. I honestly don't know DOH, so I worry I will get lost... but I really like Maxwell, though, so I will try to read on.

You're welcome. And thank you! I think as along as you stick with Bill, you shouldn't get too lost.

Ok. I'll take it to the smut board.

I started a GAH/Quantum Leap crossover, but stopped when I rewatched the GAH episode I wanted to base it on and realized my idea wouldn't work. I'm still waiting for inspiration to continue, but MaryAnne might get a kick out of the prologue, since it is a mini QL/DOH crossover (Luke being the host that Sam leaps out of): jadewarlock.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wips&action=display&thread=108

;D ;D
I did get a kick out of that. (As Rosco would say, "Khee!").
I hope you do get some inspiration to finish the story, if not for the great DOH prologe, then for what kinda shenanigans Sam finds himself in having now lept into Bill! LOL

No. It was unfinished but I pulled it and re-wrote it a bit. I just got around now to post the completed story.
