Man, if I hadn't just bought a brand new $16,000 car yesterday, I would bid on that in a heart beat.

Custom-made, huh? Sounds like a rip-off.

Damn, if only I was 20lbs thinner, I'd so jump all over this. This guy should have offered this like a month or so ago - imagine having your own custom fitted 'Suit' for Halloween! Ah well, you can still get it for NEXT Halloween, I suppose!

Might need to have it refitted a year from now though.

Mine was still cheaper & looks almost as good. So there. Of course, on the other hand, I'd have probably jumped all over this, too.

What does raise a red flag for me about this auction is that almost everything this person sells has the user IDs of the bidders kept private. Suspicious, no?

That suit looks bad. There are too many fakes around and that is not good. I have only been around here a little and already there have been three fakes, counting this one on ebay. The other two were made better than this one on ebay but a fake is still just that.

Yeah...people are trying to capitalize off the re-emergence of such a great show...louses.

Well, keep in mind that, in THIS case, the seller is clearing stating he's making a 'replica', so that's right out there in the open. I just wonder why, after making that point, he/she still goes out of the way to hide the bidders identities...

Maybe because it is a rip-off. Ebay does have some crooks on it, you know.

It's probably because they were gifts being purchased for people. I have a relative who sells a lot of stuff on ebay and she says items marked private is fairly common for gift purchases. Anyways, I emailed this guy who's selling this suit and told him he should reconsider redesigning the insignia. The one that is on this suit looks like crap. He wrote back and said that after viewing the DVD he now realizes that the emblem contains quite a few mistakes. I emailed him Maxwell FBI's close up pic of his authentic GAH suit top insignia and suggested he use it instead. What does raise a red flag for me about this auction is that almost everything this person sells has the user IDs of the bidders kept private. Suspicious, no?

I think he got the logo right now, just a bit wonky and not sawn properly but the suit looks good. The private ID is obviously for him to bring up the price under other credentials; anyways, nobody is gonna bid because it's too high to start with. Greenguy had his custom suit done and it was a nightmare in those days; nowadays computers and machinery are miles ahead and the costumes can be reproduced and created fairly easily.

How many people on this board already have suits? Geez Louise, it seems like everytime there is one for sale, everyone talks about the one or ones they already own. Am I the only person missing out?

Wow, i'm not much of a frequent costume buyer, but doesn't that price seem a bit steep? ouch. That's a starting bid rather than a 'Buy it now' From the pics, it does appear to be cheesy looking. If I'm gonna pay over $1,000 it better be the real deal.
