Finally, GAH gets the recognition it deserves! At last night's Saturn Awards, GAH took home the prize for "Best TV Retro Release." Details are at the Saturn Awards Web site. And who should be there to accept the award? Why, none other than William Katt! Here's a photo of him with the award:

You know, it's great the show finally got the recognition it deserves. Had a hard category to win it too, given some of the shows nominated. Getting this shows that it does have an impact on people even today. (I also really hate direct flashes on anyone, as they make the person look older than they are. Still, it's good of Katt for being taken in a paparazzi-like lighting area.)

Oh, dear, on second rereading, that's not quite what I meant. Personally, I think he looks great for his age (55), as do a whole lot of actors from the '70s and '80s. Direct flashes on cameras just age people by about 5-10 years in the picture. Example, I've had a couple where someone's used a direct flash on me and I look to be about 36-37, but I'm 27. Usually, if I have to take a mugshot of someone for the paper or elsewise, I make sure to try and do a bounce flash (light pointed up), which is more flattering. Sorry if I confused you on that.

Darned what? I have to admit, the shorter hair does look best on him now. I still think all of them look great for their ages (though we've yet to see Don Cervantes post GAH.) I've seen everyone including Mary Ellen Stuart (and I have to admit I knew it was her only by the way she tilts her head up to talk to you), so the idea of a GAH TV movie wouldn' tbe too farfetched if they did one (at least some sort of cheesy reunion like they did Dallas... )
