Can't blame a girl for trying, right? I like the ID cards although I think it would be better if people tried to get the ID for Bill as close to realistic as the one he shows Ralph in the pilot. Not a bad idea though.

FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT WILLIAM MAXWELL William Maxwell SIGNATURE AND PHOTOGRAPH APPEAR HEREON IS A REGULARY APPOINTED SPECIAL AGENT ----------- I took it from when Ralph was looking at Bill's wallet at the first of Heaven is in Your Genes. "Regulary" "Hereon" seem to be right. I also did some photoshop editing on the left top side above "Federal" where the banner is. I also had to fix the emblem. I also lightened the other side up where his photo is. If anyone else is better at that than I am, it's worth taking a crack at it. When I go to comic book conventions and see all the badges, I used to wish there were MST3K ones, now with my rediscovering of GAH. I tried looking for them too. Oh well!

Nice, Claye. You should see if you can get the ID from the pilot and see how the two compare. Are they different?

I will check on that. I'm also considering bidding on those cards at the bidding end time.

Why? If you can take images of them, just save them from MAXWELL-FBI's post above, photoshop them, print them off and laminate. Why buy them when you could make your own?

True, though the only thing that will be missing or different is the photo. One other thing, I've noticed it with Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop. You paste an image like say you got a snapshot from the dvd or you just create a picture all together new and then save it. You look at the saved image and the program has distored it just a little. I noticed this a lot when I was messing with the GAH logo for my desktop. Though you are right, it's worth trying! Just gotta figure out the banner/poles design on each side of Federal Bureau of Investigation

Go steal someone's badge from the FBI...then you will have a real one to start with.

Thank you, HoudiniDerek for challenging me! I seem to do my best work when that happens! Hehehe. That's right, from the time I did the last post to now... VOILA! Oh and put in the signature yourself. That's where I draw the line, and draw the line not very good!

Glad I could help. I guess I didn't know the pilot had one of the headshots that was used for publicity for Bill. I didn't know he was smiling...or did you clean up the one for sale on Ebay? Looks good either way.

You could also watch OPERATION: SPOILSPORT and try to get a picture image of the ID card that Bill is wearing in his staff meeting. You could have Maxwell badges galore.

Actually I forgot to check the Pilot to see if it was different. I'll try to do that tonight. Also, as far as the pictures go, his photo looks like something that can't be remade using an episode so I went with one of the publicity shots. I'll check the pilot to see if there's a different photo on that as well. I don't think photoshop would do any good with the photo I took from Heaven is in Your Genes. Most everything in the card that I made I did manually, aside from the FBI logo on the side and the photo. It's not perfect but it came out close to the real one I posted earlier aside from the photo.

You do good work. You should make a judicial chamber one for us Pam fans.

Badge from the Pilot. Looks like I left out the boarder trim, a word before "signature" and on the line under "SPECIAL AGENT" I can only make out "of the Federal Bureau of Investigation" there's a few more words after it. Same photo though. I'll check O:SS later tonight.

They may be the same. I don't look all that closely at them. I just know the picture was more somber than the publicity shot.

Yeah, the photo is definitely more somber than the publicity shot I used. I unfortunately can't help that. Good ol' Maxwell has never worn his suit without the coat AND vest during the whole run of the show. It'd be closer if I used one of the frames from this scene: Again though, he's got the coat and vest on, plus I think the shirt in the photo is white. lol Why couldn't you give us badge makers a break, SJC? WHY???

We're soaking this thread for what it's worth! Anyways, after working on it some more I think I finally have the close to perfect version aside from pixelation on the top logo and of course the photo. I'm guessing that's an eagle at the top, wish I could hide the pixelation better. Once again, the publicity photo is used. Hehehe. All in all I'm happy with this outcome.

How about this? Nice. Good work. I like your little avatar too. I also like the way you did yours Claye. You both do good work and should sell your results on Ebay or through the boards. Make them for the less fortunate of us that don't have the means or the talent. Like I said though, I would want a Pam one.

WHY??? They probably did that because it either was not a good look for him or they were worried that somehow people would replicate fake badges. Although in the early 80's I am not sure it was THAT rampant of a problem with the lack of computer technology.
