Different episode. That might work as an audio story though.

I may have to take an oral screen test... but that's ok. I will manage...

Of course, they could get IDEAS from fan fic, and then have professionals help edit them. That way, you can get fresh ideas, but consistant and top-notch writing.
So how was that for diplomatic...?
Late replying to this, I know. I've been reading this thread on and off. It's a good idea, but getting ideas from fan fiction would be a lost cause. Back when I'd do MST3K fan fiction (if you want to call it that) crappy e-mails instead of crappy movies, I think someone actually asked the gang if they read the fan fiction that's out there. They said they didn't for the intention that they couldn't use ideas from the fan fiction writers. I think it all has to go with credit to whoever's idea it was and whether or not someone could claim an idea was stolen or not. There's probably a few legalities on that somewhere.

we could always ask if we could be a part of the writing team to help do it with them. ( I know that I'm grasping at straws perhaps). I wouldn't hurt.

It wouldn't hurt, but it is unlikely. Most writers break into the business elsewhere and work their way up...usually through a rigorous process. I know because that is the problem I am having with my scripts. It is just too unlikely. Unless you know a big name that can go to bat for you.
